F4SE won't launch with new 1.10.40 update

Having a big problem with the new 1.10.40 uptade with fallout 4, more specifically f4se.

After updating the game, and installing the new f4se patch, and tried launch f4se, i was greeted with:

 

"LooksMenu Version Error:

expected game version: 1.10.26.0

your game version is 1.10.40.0

some features may not work correctly."

 

plus

 

"HUDPlusPlus

UNSUPPORTED GAME VERSION. REQUIRED GAME VERSION IS: V1.10.26"

 

and lastly

 

"Mod Configuration Menu

expected game version: v.1.10.26.0

your game version: v.1.10.40.0

Mod Configuration Menu will be disabled."

 

 

I clicked "OK" on all the pop-ups, and after i only got a quick blackscreen, and later a crash to the desktop. I then later disabled these mods, through nmm, still the same thing.

Disabled, and enabled all the mods, same thing. Reinsalled F4se, same thing. Tried to uninstall the mods, and the same thing happened.

 

I really have no idea why this is happening, and its driving me crazy. Last time i had this kind of problem, the only solution was to restore my whole computer.

f4se hasn't been updated to match the latest patch yet, which is why it isn't working.

actually it has. the issues are with the mods not being updated

as mentioned above , the problem is not with F4SE

the problem is you are using mods that haven't been updated to the new F4SE

try waiting a bit , see if these mods get updated

 

luckily , this is supposed to be the last update that breaks script extenders

unluckily , this update did break them , so all the mods that use them require updates

If mods are hardcoded to a certain game-version (whats stupid...) they wont run with a higher version. You will have to wait until the mod author has patched the mod.

But: The changes of 1.10.40 are minimal at best. If you dont have one of the listed problems, dont update to it.

In hopes of playing today, i downdated my fallout 4 to 1.10.26.0

But now i have the problem of not having the right F4SE version...

Anyone got the download link or such for f4se 1.10.26.0?

If anyone els is having the same problems, just downdate fallout 4 and install this version of F4SE
