Skyrim HD - 2k

Sup folks... So, I'm back after a loooooooong break from Skyrim. I haven't been following all the new mods and stuff that are related to Skyrim because I was waiting for the SKSE 64bit version.
Couple days ago I found a post on a forum saying that the SKSE team was still working on it and perhaps we'll see it next year.. who knows.

Anyway, I want to start moding litely my Skyrim SE to start getting ready, and I've been checking what mods I used to play the game with are available for Skyrim SE.

Any ideas if some textures mods from normal Skyrim work for Skyrim HD, most important.. I want to know if Skyrim HD 2k ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/607/? ) works with Skyrim SE.

I don't have ANY idea if this question was already asked in another post whatsoever. So... please? Any ideas? haha

Thanks in advance!

First of all thanks for the answer! After creating this post I started to dig and search about what mods have been ported to Special Edition and I was so happy when found out that most mods I used to play with were ported to Skyrim Special Edition.

There are still a few missing or... kinda ported (since some mods like iNeeds, Convenient Horses, Immersive Armors and whatnot don't really need SKSE but you can't customize them if you don't have it, so I'll just wait for SKSE to use those)

And I also found https://rd.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2347?tab=files , looks really nice, most downloaded mod in the nexus, downloading right now to check it out. The one you linked looks really nice too but It kinda needs a patch or something like that when used with SMIM (it says that in the download description) and I don't really wanna deal with that right now haha.

Anyway, thanks man!

You're welcome. The textures you linked are indeed very beautiful. I have been surprised how many mods have been ported so quickly as well, Special Edition is really becoming the definitive way to play Skyrim.

Like 99% of all texture replacers it will work with SE. Skyrim HD 2k is nowadays a little bit outdated compared to other big texture overhauls (like Noble) so I would suggest to install it as a basis and let it overwrite by the newer (and better) ones.

It's my understanding that Skyrim HD looks worse with Special Edition. I suggest getting Noble Skyrim HD, that mod works very well and looks very nice. In the downloads section it has options for Special Edition.

Noble Skyrim:

Indeed. Noble textures better, maybe you can download the SMIM too.

Right now i'm trying these mods in the exact load order

  • Static Mesh Improvement Mod (Updates a lot of meshes)
  • High Poly Project (Updates a lot of meshes SMIM doesn't)
  • Realistic Water Two
  • Noble Skyrim (All textures)
  • Osmodius (A lot of textures)
  • Skyrim Flora Overhaul (Only flora, duhh)
  • Viscous Foliage (Grass. The grass is bigger than Verdant which i prefer)
  • Landscape fixes for grass mods
  • Simply Bigger Trees (compatible with Flora Overhaul)
  • HQ Treebark (compatible with simply bigger trees)
  • Enhanced Texture Details (UV-tweaks)
  • Nordic Snow
  • Better Dynamic Snow
  • No snow under the roof
  • Forgotten Retex
  • Peltapaloza
  • Rugnarok
  • Rustic Soulgems
