Game Freezes and goes from 60fps to 4-14 fps whenever traveling

thats my load order. i unstalled all the mods and had none of the issues aforementioned but after reinstalling them i had the problems again.

Can anybody please help me with my issue? i've tried everything and im getting fed up with it not working

even when overclocked to 1100/1600 it still freezes

Okay, first off, FO4 is a game that doesn't like overclocked hardware. Second, while your R9-380 GPU is a very decent card, if it's a 4GB model, then you are in trouble, most of the time, because FO4 likes a lot of V-RAM, for breakfast, lunch and dinner and for every tea-and cookies-time you can squeeze in-between.

 

You have a few mods that also are happy to gobble-up their fair share of RAM and you have mods that can get CPU intensive and get on the nerves of your soundcard (extra radio stations and whatnot).

 

Now, to keeps things simple, best to add another mod that doesn't do any harm: the ENBoost one which makes it so that system RAM is used as V-RAM by the game...

 

Try it and see what gives ;)

**UPDATE** No lagging when in large open areas like Thicket Excavations but it lags like dick whenever there are lots of buildings

Then you must be playing in a very low resolution if you don't go over 2GB of V-RAM. I play at 1920x1080 in ultra (except shadows, high, and god rays, off) and use around 4 to 6GB of system RAM (2.7GB for OS not included) and 6 to 7.5GB V-RAM.

 

Also be aware that everytime the game gets updated to a newer version, a lot of things tend to change. I haven't updated the game in months (stopped playing FO4 in May or thereabout) and the biggest change (and rise in RAM use) came with the release of v1.3 or 1.4 when they introduced the streaming system to display textures instead of a direct rendering and when they "smoothed-out" the game in preparation for the Automatron DLC.

 

Just give ENBoost a try. You have 12GB of system RAM so you can use up to 9GB of that for gaming purposes in ENBoost...

 

Taking a look at what mods you recently installed which can have an influence on fast-travelling or certain surroundings is also a good idea. But when I hear about lag and fps problems in the game my immediate thought is ENBoost because of memory issues...

Go to its bug reports section, you will see the exact same bug reported there.

I also had the same issue, took me a good long while to narrow it down to that mod and then found that it was in its bug report section.

Its likely that the mod was made with something like Zedit which was an early editing tool.

Its also the last mod that any modder would even think of being the culprit but Im telling you that mod is jacked, its causing the issue with your freeze/laggings.

 

Just remove the mod, you'll notice an improvement straight away.
