[Dark~Elf]~PUNISHER
OK, im new to this forum and i havent played morrowind for very long, but i do have a lvl 31 Dark Elf with full glass armor. Anyway i was wondering why i cant lvl up from training any more. I have trained my short blade and athletics to 100, and my speed is 100, anyway i was in the proccess of training my light armor and blocking when i realized my lvl wasnt increasing anymore, and i know it isnt from the lvl attributes because they are high enough.
MajKrAzAm
You can't train your stats above 100 unless you go to a Master trainer of that skill who will train it above 100 or you could get the no caps mod which means there will be no limit train stats above 100. -MajKrAzAm
Slaiv
If i get what your problem is, then I have an answer. You can only level up by gaining levels in your ten major and minor stats....once those are all 100, you're pretty much done. Hope that helps, but Im not sure.... Deleted31005User
And you have some enchanted evening, sorry enchanted item, that fortifies the attribute relevant to the skill you want to train in that takes that attribute over 100. Ive got my willpower on level 95 now, with a ring (constant effect) I get +10 willpower, resulting in my willpower attribute to be above 100. (105) But when I try to level I only get a 1x possible at the willpower to increase it. So I cant get my atributes above 100 even with an enchanted item? :nazgul:
Malchik
For reasons I do not know (a bug perhaps), if you reach 95 in an attribute you cannot get multiple increases for training. The way round this is to train to 94 and then buy 10 trainings to take you to 99. However you will find that you can level up one for each 10 trainings and although your individual stats never increase above 100 there is no limit to the level you can attain. Saldrex is on level 500 and as far as I know he doesn't have to stop there.
Le Santyr
I'm a level 30 n I'm finding it harder to level up from normal training any more... I find the odd person that can teach me a bit over my levels (all my major/minor are around the 60 mark) with 1 maxed at 100 and a few over that. I'm just gonna have to do more quests or look for these Master trainers methinks! Last enchanted items I found were 4 belts in the Shrine off the Underworks beneath Vivec, some quite hard folks in there and all 3 attack at once which doesn't help but you get 4 belts for Long Blade, Marksman, Medium Armour and something else all at +5 plus some other nifty stuff. Not the best but I haven't found many other useful belts...? I have the Long Blade one on and my skills been advancing as normal (currently 77) If I reach 95 will it stop if I'm wearing the belt????? Malchik
Those sanguine items are part of a quest for the Morag Tong if you want to do it. The training system works as follows. If you train ten times in any skill, when you next level up you will be able to add five points to the relevant attribute (strength for Long Blade). If you train eight or nine times this will be four and so on. However you cannot train in any skill above the level of its attribute. This applies whether or not the skill is major, minor or miscellaneous. (I am not dealing here with the levelling process though it is a vital part of the whole procedure). So if you start with strength at 50 and Long Blade at 40 you can train ten times. On levelling up you will be able to raise Strength by 5. You cannot now train in Long Blade more than five times so you find another skill that uses strength (IIRC blunt weapon, acrobatics) and do ten trainings (or five/five). Next time you level up you can raise strength by 5 to 60. Now you can do ten trainings in Long Blade and, when you level up, put strength up to 65. If you have enough money you can raise your selected skills to 100 quickly by this means. However, as I said in the above post, if an attribute is 95 no matter how many trainings you do in Long Blade, Acrobatics and Blunt Weapon, when you level up Strength will only increase by one point. It means you will have to do 50 trainings to raise strength to 100. To get round this, if it bothers you, when an attribute reaches 90 do eight trainings to get a four point increase when you level up. Strength goes to 94. Now, ten trainings will still give you a five point increase to 99. You will still need a further 10 trainings to get to 100. If you have a plus five fortifying item you will always be able to train five times above the attribute. With strength at 70 for instance you could train in Long Blade and Acrobatics to 75. On leveling up you should get a five point increment for strength enabling you to do the same again. When you reach 100 provided you are with the master trainer (long blade is in Molag Mar) you can go on training for as often as you can afford it. There is no point in doing this unless the skill is a major or minor one. In that case every 10 trainings will give you a level. There is no limit to the level you can reach by this method. Please note that training is not the only way that skills increase. To maximise skills as quickly as possible for the player (it takes a great deal of 'game' time as every training session is two hours long) train (or equivalent) 10 times in a miscellaneous skill, train (or equivalent) 10 times in a major/minor skill with a different underlying attribute. Rest. Get two five point bonuses and add one to luck. If low luck does not bother you, you could do a further ten trainings in another miscellanous skill with a third underlying attribute. On resting you should have three five point increases. I'm not sure if this is clear but I hope you can make sense of it. If not PM me.
