Major stuttering problem.

As the title says, i'll be walking around in an outdoor cell i.e around Riften area and i'll be getting major stuttering problems when walking around. I've tried to lower the quality of my texture mods, install anti-stuttering program, fiddle with the inis and even lower the games settings to the lowest but i'll still be getting major stuttering and constant frame lag when walking around. So much I can't even play properly. It's fine in cities and indoor cells though.

I ran this exact mod and ENB setup with the exact same system a few months back and I had no stuttering problems or FPS problems at all.

PC:

CPU: AMD FX-8350

GPU: GTX 1050Ti - Fully up-to-date drivers.

RAM: 8GBs of RAM (Not sure if DDR3 or DDR4)

ENB: Tetrachromatic ENB (Tried disabling it and I still get the stuttering problems and constant FPS drops, even with every texture mod and skyrim textures on lowest)

Mod Manager: NMM (My MO is used up by Fallout New Vegas)

If you're using an FX chip - then you're using DDR3. Also, you can just install Mod Organizer again for Skyrim. For each game you want to use MO with, just install a new instance of it. Just be sure to name the .exe for each MO in a way that's easy to identify which MO is for which game. As for your stuttering, if I had to just guess, if you truly are using 100% the same setup then it's probably something within Windows that changed. Is your system fully updated? I would check Windows update just to make sure there are no new updates. From there, I would begin going through Windows' settings and disabling everything I don't need to have on. That's assuming you're on Windows 10 of course.

Also, what are you using to store the game on? Is it an SSD or an HDD? If it's an HDD then it could just be getting old - which is causing the stutter. HDD's are slow and can cause stutter in open world games as they slowly load objects in the distance. Fallout 4 is an example of a game that much prefers having its assets being loaded by a fast SSD and not an HDD, as an example.

You have Verdant. What are your [Grass] settings from Skyrim.ini? Your iMinGrassSize should be at least 60. You can try higher (higher = less dense) for better performance.

What version of ENBseries are you using? Boris sometimes updates it without increasing the version number. In particular, there were some versions of .318 that had stuttering problems.

By the way, you can get rid of Skyrim Shadow Striping Fix. It's included in USLEEP.

Mod Manager: NMM (My MO is used up by Fallout New Vegas)

You can install more than one copy of MO. The usual advice is to install it in your Skyrim folder, like: steamapps\common\Skyrim\Mod Organizer.

1. iMinGrassSize is currently at 85, tried putting it up to 100 - no help with stuttering.

2. Using the most up-to-date version of ENBseries.

3. Gonna remove that now.

I used someone's advice on a youtube comment to change a few settings with the Nvidia control panel, currently the stuttering seems to happen a lot less but will happen every now and then.

Alright well i've done a bit of messing around and the stuttering doesn't happen much, if at all anymore.

Also, never really tried this cos I usually just go straight to MO but is there a way to transfer all your mods from NMM to MO without having to uninstall and reinstall all of them? I seem to be crashing in certain areas like the Riften Jail, Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon, East Empire Company Warehouse and it only seems to happen when using NMM, never used to happen when using MO.

MO has an "NMM Import" tool under the Tools icon (looks like a jigsaw puzzle). It copies your mod archives into the Download directory and you can reinstall them from there. You'll have to at least disable all mods in NMM, if not completely uninstall. It's best to clear everything out of the Skyrim directory except for the vanilla files, SKSE and ENB.

I don't know if you can directly import your installed mods to MO. Technically, you should be able to copy your mod folders from NMM's VirtualInstall folder to MO's Mods folder, but I don't know if anyone has tried that. All of the meta.ini files that MO creates on installation will be missing, so I don't know what kind of effect that would have.
