wfandrews
I do not understand what you are saying. Do you mean you could not add the mod to NMM with "Add Mod From File"? Or you could add the mod but could not install it? You are going to have to be a little clearer before anyone can be of help to you. After all Nexus is the site you are on and includes a number of different pages.

After all Nexus is the site you are on and includes a number of different pages.(i'm not english) once i changed what i wanted ,i put it back toguether and press the green button that says "add mod from file" i select the file and hit go , nexus than says "mod" can't be added...the status shows incomplete.if i download manualy and do the same thing with another mod it works fine,it just doesn't work once i unzip it. wfandrews
When you add a file with NMM it only recognizes mod files. A mod file has an zip or rar extension, if you unzip that mod NMM will no longer see that file as a mod file. I am not sure on this but I believe if you make changes to a mod even if you archive that mod again NMM may not be able to install that mod. What mod or mods are you trying to make changes to by unzipping that mod and manually changing that mod?
JimmyRJump
After unzipping and making changes, you have to re-zip the file for NMM to recognize it. Also watch out that you keep the original extensions for the files you changed, like .bsa and some such. If things don't work after all, then simply unpack the RAR file, make your changes and drop the files manually into the game's Data folder.
