I always find myself starting over

Ever since my first character, I've always found myself changing races and different playing styles.

First off, I've been mostly switching between Warrior and Thief, I believe that the Warrior is great due to the fact that the majority of daedric artifacts are Heavy Armor, but I love playing as a thief too, due to that it has more factions than the Warrior. I also have trouble with races, this is a list of what I've played as so far:

Dark Elf - Mage

Khajiit - Thief

Nord - Thief, Warrior

So I believe I've finally narrowed it down to two races which I enjoy the look of and the starting stats:

Wood Elf - Thief

Orc - Warrior

Right now, I'm leaning more towards the Wood Elf due to that I believe that Archery might be a better fit for me and I've always enjoyed playing as a stealth character, I achieved level 40 on my Nord Thief and completed the Main Quest, the DB, Stormcloaks and the Thieves Guild. On my other playthroughs, I've completed the Companions and the College of Winterhold.

So what race do you like? What kind of character do you have? I'm curious to found out what others have chosen.

My first character was a Nord warrior to go with the theme that went with the game. I'm in the process of doing the Stormcloak questline with him, and went through the Companions before that, but it got glitched out near the end.

My second was a High Elf Destruction Mage who I rushed through the College of Winterhold first thing. I also did the main quest with this one.

Third was a Khajiit Thief/Assassin. I went through the Dark Brotherhood and then the Thieve's Guild with him.

Fourth was an Imperial Conjuration Mage. This is my most played character which is probably because I never played a mage in Oblivion. Just (like right before I posted this) finished the main quest with her. I did the Imperial line before that, and the College of Winterhold before that. I'm going to do the Companions next.

Fifth was a Wood Elf Hunter. This one is the one I roleplay with the most. I live in a cabin in the mountains (Hillside), I hunt for my food, don't drink potions (only eat food), and a couple of times a week I walk to Riften to sell some of the stuff I have (hides, leather, etc.)

I'm the same, a chronic restarter. I tell myself every time that I'm going to finish the game with this character, and yet it still hasn't happened. When I do make a new character I always say I'll go back and play my old one again, and that never happens either. I'll do a quick list of a few of my characters

-Nord Warrior to start, got to level 30 and halfway through main quest, joined stormcloaks but didn't finish.

- High Elf Mage, only got to around level 15 and never did anything productive

-Breton SpellSword, I really liked this one and did the college quests, and half the imperial civil war but not much else, got to about level 35

- Imperial Thief / Archer, really fun but I felt overpowered at level 40 so I started another character. Finished thieves guild with this one.

- Redguard thief that I started the DB quests with, never finished only got level 20 something.

- Breton Warrior, played up until about level 25 and did half of the companions quests. Not pleased with him though.

I've also had countless characters that I got to around level 5 - 10 only to give up on and start over. There was a time when I was testing out different mods and that contributed a lot to my abandoning many characters. Through all my characters the only major quest lines I've completed are the thieves guild and the mages college.

All this talk makes me want to start a new character when I get home...
