PrometheusTS
A very Wip of the Jotunnheim Village area .... Not sure actually I like this name for this village suggestions? and btw do you prefer English naming or Norse derivative naming or a mixture ? for example use Ysmir Temple instead of Ysmir Tunvarhus or Jotunnheim with Gian'ts home etc ....? http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/2498/jotunnheim.jpg

Jotunnheim sounds way better than Giant's home. I'm from Scandinavia so I may be a bit biased though. :)

PrometheusTS
After Some studies around on the wiki , the ingame murals and symbols , a thread on the lore section I come up with the following corrispendence between the Tamrielic Pantheon of the Empire , it's Nordic Counterpart and the Ancient Oldways totemic pantheon corrispondence .... The Civilization of Issgard follows the Oldway but knows also the corrispondence between the Nordic Pantheon and the Ancient totems , so they are more connected with the last but know their menaing , the Religion is of a Shamanic type and I will place 9 shrines or sacred locations along the island that will provide the corrispondend blessings ... some may be found in the towns others in the wilds ... SO my final association is Like the following also having a corrispondence on the Murals look in the skyrim game .... Akatosh ( the all maker ) = Dragon ( Main symbolic totem of Varheimgard )Kyne ( Kynareth )= Hawk ( Main symbolic totem of Jotunnheim)Zenithar ( Zenithar ) = Whale ( Main symbolic totem of Husvalur)Julianos ( Junhal ) = Owl ( Shrine in the wilderness )Arkay (Arkay) = Snake ( Shrine in the wilderness )Lorkhan ( Shor ) (Chief of the Gods ) = Bear ( Main symbolic totem of Brynnvik)Mara (Handmaiden of Kyne)= wolf ( Main symbolic totem of Sker)Dibella = moth ( Shrine in the wilderness ) Stendarr ( Stuhn )= fox ( Shrine in the wilderness ) Ysmir Northern Dragon ( Main Important Temple is dedicated to Ysmir manifestation of Talos and Proctector of the Island ) I may be switching the names of Husvalur , Brynnvik and their relative totems eventually .... Depending on how I decide in the last so take this as not written in the stone untill mod release ... another possible naime was Kyrrvik Vindasker hauksker I guess a scandinavian speaker can guess what I am talking about ... but I will wait also for some inputs from the followers of my work to come up with other names that may make more sense or sound better ... Personally I woudl name them in Italian as it sounds a lot cooler to me but I bet woudl make less sense for Scandinavians or English speakers lol ... LikeJotunnheim = Giant's home = casa dei gigantiVarheimgard = Springhome city = Città della casa di primaveraBrynnvik = Clear bay = Insenatura cristallinaHusvalur = Whale Home = Casa di BalenaSker = Rock = Roccia Edited April 15, 2012 by PROMETHEUS_ts

PrometheusTS
Thanks ..... Some new pictures from theWIP area of the Jotunnheim side , the Skyleid or Cloud's path ... Sentiero delle nuvole .... a hanging bridges path along the side of the precipes , the way goes from the Ysmir temple to the Jotunnheim village , you can also see the new shrine of the hawk there , corrispondent to the Shrine of Kynareth or Nordic Kyne ... the sacred totem to that village .... http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/2849/15948448.jpg http://img813.imageshack.us/img813/6213/27855675.jpg http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/562/86614216.jpg http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/6549/89756248.jpg
