David Brasher
I don't like tutorial messages the second time I play a game. They can be useful the first time you ever play a game, but after that they are just annoying and immersion-breaking. I am thinking about building a mod to prevent them from popping up. But I realized I ought to find out if there is already a way to stop them first. (1) Is there an .ini setting?(2) Is there an in-game option?(3) Has a mod been built yet? Arthmoor
With my alt-start mod I blocked all of the ones I could find in the Helgen sequence, but there are numerous others that pop up from elsewhere than still show up even using the other start options. I've been looking all over the place for what triggers them but haven't found anything. I'd love nothing more than to silence them all since I would assume anyone using an alt-start is on their 2nd or greater playthrough.
drail1602
I, too am annoyed by those messages. I looked in the ck to see if I could disable them without any luck. I found the records for them, but couldn't figure out how to turn them off. I think they are initiated by helgen keep, probably the door. The messages do not show up before you go into the keep. In the opening scene, you can sprint and deplete your stamina and a message won't appear. I was thinking maybe you could edit the "activator" so that they never are initiated. But, haven't gotten that far.
chinagreenelvis
Has anyone made any progress on this?
