Voice talent wanted

We are a little tiny team of mod-workers with a lot of work ahead of us. We've been developing a mod that's mature enough to pass to this uncertain instance of looking for voice actors, but is not yet completely finished. The mod is a quest-mod, and adds locations, characters and items; it also works with a lot of scripting, which is my part, and lot of texturing, which is handled by my good, lovely partner.

The mod looks to introduce colourful and literary quests, full of diverse spectrums and tones; story's in which good and evil are never easily defined (as in real life) and with complex and human characters. We wanted to do this because Bethesda's quests are so boring and simple... *joke*.

No, seriously, we wanted to do this because, for old Oblivion players, such as myself, quest's are all done and the true joy is lost if an attempt of replaying the game is intended. This would add some quest's to the elderly and complement the game for the newbies.

See, we could find voice actors somewhere else, perhaps not through the web, but we are scripters and texture-workers from far, far lands, and english is not our native language. Adding the voices in another language would break the immersion, since all dialogs are in english by default. (How odd would it be to listen a greeting in english, such as 'how do you do!', approach to the character and suddenly hear him speak in dutch, german or spanish?)

The dialogs we want to be recorded all belong to quests, and most of them require a fine, expressive acting. You'll find happy, desperate, grim and lonely characters, and their emotions must be expressed in their voices.

We ALL work for free and only seeking the pleasure of creating gaming content: we CAN NOT afford to pay an actor, even less considering that the payment probably would have to be in dolars for an english actor. We look for people who love games and/or Oblivion and want to improve the game with a rich mod and, in the process, why not, perpetuate themselves through their beautiful voices in the game! This is how we work (and we work hard), so I know that it is hard work and money would be great, but so would it be for me and the rest of the team and we get nothing </3. So it is a not-payed, just-for-passion work.

Please, if we are lucky enough to find some dreaming souls such as ourselves, please talk to me through private message. Thank you!

I'm a decent reader (meaning, I have good intonation and emphasis) have a reasonable pronounciation (with a tip-of-the-tongue rolling "R") when I concentrate on it. Although I'm from Belgium and speak Flemish normally, I can do a few US and UK accents in English, some of 'em don't really exist, I guess, but I'm not fussy about myself :D I also speak French and German and am capable of those accents as well, in English.

I also can do different sounding voices from booming to crazy old git (I have a bass/baritone range) like a distant Bugs Bunny relative.

I lack decent recording facilities/gear. My microphone is a squeaky ol' thingie integrated in an even more squeaky ol' Logitech webcam sitting next to a rather loud computer...

You look like a good candidate, specially since you are in the forum often (lot of folks asked me to participate; with several I shared info and even lines, but most of them end up quitting the project by the means of never answering me again, haha!), which makes you trust-worthy.

I am currently in India, which puts the project in stand-by for at least two or three weeks; but we should get in touch trough PM, since there is another project in my mind which requires a good reader and a good voice. So we should discuss in which would you like to participate, if not in both. About your lack of recording devices, it should be something to worry, but not impossible to solve in a practical, convenient way :)

Thanks for the good-will!
