I don't know where to put this, so I'll try here(Type3 Clothing tips).

Type 3M (Type 3 Modified) is the style of the body based on the Type 3 body by dimon99 available here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/4280/?

The instructions say to use the Dimonized Type 3 body, but there are better body replacers available.

It is better to use the BoG textures: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/34702/?

The armor/clothing determines the shape of the body.

As long as the textures are compatible, it makes no difference which body type you use, the shape of the clothing/armor will not change.

You will need to choose which file you want to use. The replacer file does just that, replaces the armor/clothing that is in the game.

The AddOn file adds the clothing/armor without replacing anything.

Installation is best done manually.

The Type 3M body is here:

You will have to install that first.

The way Type 3 works is there was a female body replacer for Fallout 3 that was created by Dimon99. He chose to call it the Dimonized Type 3 body. Since Fallout 3, there have been a lot of variants based on the Dimonized Type 3, like a version with skinnier shoulders. Type 3M is yet another variant on the Type 3. I haven't tried the Type 3M personally, but from the mod's page I gather that it's basically the Type 3 body replacer with bigger boobs, a bigger butt, and slightly bigger thighs to match.

Clothes are kinda weird in Fallout New Vegas. A shirt isn't just a shirt. If you put on an outfit, that outfit typically replaces everything except your head and hands. If your character puts on a dress, the legs that are visible come from the dress model, not the player's body model. If your character is wearing an outfit with short sleeves, then their arms also come from that outfit, and not from the player's body model. If you use a body replacer, for either male or female (male body replacers are Roberts and Breeze and the like), you generally have to get clothing replacers to match, or weird things can happen. The body textures might not be the same, which can lead to weird color marks all over body parts that are from a different body type. In other words, if your character puts on a bikini made for the vanilla body type and you have the Type 3M replacer installed, it's going to use the vanilla body mesh with the bikini, so you won't get the bigger boobs etc. from the Type 3 while wearing it, and the textures are going to be all screwy since the bikini model will be expecting the normal vanilla body texture and you've replaced it with a different and incompatible texture.

For some clothes it doesn't matter. If you put on power armor, for example, there aren't any body parts visible, so it doesn't make two hoots worth of difference whether you are using a body replacer or not. For other clothes and armor types, you need to make sure that your body replacer comes with a replacement for those, or they won't work properly.

There are mods that give the player a custom body, so that you can install a body and texture replacer that only modifies the player and doesn't touch any of the other NPCs in the game. This can require a bit of work and some GECK know-how to get a custom body properly installed with it.

Generally speaking, body replacers aren't difficult to install if you aren't using a custom player body. You just install the body replacer mod, then install the custom clothing mod that you want, and obtain the clothes however that mod expects you to (sometimes they'll be in a custom container somewhere, sometimes you have to purchase them from a specific vendor, etc), and just equip the new clothes, and that's it. Simple.
