nagrom2608
Hi Guys. Sop I've FINALLY got around to upgrading my graphics card. To a shiny new GTX 4GB 1050TI. My first port of call was to FINALLY get around to setting up Skyrim with Realvision. As far as I can tell, I've followed the instructions here https://youtu.be/FHCYoVB8P_Y, and here, https://youtu.be/RdTuA0np_Wg, to the letter. However, I'm findfing the game freezes very quickly. I have to sign out of Windows to get back to the desktop. Also even though I've got Verdant grasses installed, and configured in skyrim.ini. I'n unable to see any grass anywhere. A couple of other problems are, I'm getting an error that "ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true" should be set to false. In the enblocal.ini. The instructions I followed did say to set this to true. Is this correct. And finally, my game has a constant red error of "bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 is not set in skyrimprefs.ini" It defiantly is set. So I'm not sure what this means. This error is permanently on the game. Any help from the ENB experts here would be great. Thanks in advance. Andy
Grospolina
Can you post your Skyrim.ini, SkyrimPrefs.ini and enblocal.ini?
JimmyRJump
Sounds llike you are using the files from ENBoost with the ENB preset. You can't use both ENBoost and a preset because they overwrite one-another's enblocal.ini files... If you want to use ENBoost you can only use something like SweetFX for screen effects. ENBoost is a utility to make a game use system RAM as Video RAM.

Like I said, use either one or the other since they both have totally different enblocal.ini files and they overwrite one another. ENBoost is used to make the game use system RAM as video RAM should you have an older GPU with less than 4GB of V-RAM. Also no need to go changing your Skyrim.ini file. Just unzip and open the ENB Preset folder, choose which setting you want to use and drag-and-drop the needed files to your Skyrim install directory. Grospolina
ENBoost is just ENB with the visual effects turned off. If you're using an ENB preset (RealVision in this case), then you get the memory fixes of ENBoost with it. Your enblocal.ini is mostly correct. It's not in ENBoost mode. I would suggest these edits: [MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false [ANTIALIASING] EnableEdgeAA=true EnableSubPixelAA=true If you set ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true, then it could interfere with Sheson's memory patch. I think this was discovered after the guide you used was made. If you didn't create a SKSE.ini file when installing SKSE, then I highly recommend installing the SKSE Memory Patch (a.k.a. Sheson's memory patch). The two settings under [ANTIALIASING] turn on some simple antialiasing to reduce jaggies. It's up to you whether you want them on or not, but I think your video card can handle it without losing FPS. You said you followed the guide to the letter, but I don't see all of the changes in SkyrimPrefs.ini. Are you using MO? The Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini are in your Mod Organizer\profiles\profilename folder. If not, then make these changes to SkyrimPrefs.ini: [Display] iMaxAnisotropy=0 iMultiSample=0 fGamma=1.2400 bTreesReceiveShadows=1 bDrawLandShadows=1 bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 bFXAAEnabled=0I think RealVision recommends setting iMaxAnisotropy=1 above, but it's the same as 0.Also, in Skyrim.ini, remove the line: fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0 I have a few questions:If you're on Windows 10, do you have the Fall Creators Update? It has a fix for the DirectX 9 4GB limit bug. You can get it from Windows Update. What method did you use to set VideoMemorySizeMB in enblocal.ini? You should use VRamSizeTest (DX9 version) and subtract 350. Is your display a TV? You have a very odd resolution of 2715x1527.
nagrom2608
This actually explains a lot. Seeing as I followed older instructions, I TOTALLY forgot that the ini files that needed altering, are in the modorganizer/profiles/***** folder. I've been altering the ones in the mydocs/mygames/skyrim/ folder LOL. I guess that's teh problem with watching older guides. As for the resolution. Yeah I've not noticed that before. However that is in the dropdown list in Skyrim's launcher. I'm running 1680 x 1050 To answer your questions, 1. Yeah. I downloaded the update a while ago. And I'm on Windows 10 Home Pro2. I used the equation from the first video I posted. Though I just used the Vram size test you linked, and came up with a similar figure of 77143. I covered this earlier. It was down to the aspect ration I had set. Went to 16:10 in the launcher, and the correct ratio of 1680 x 1050 was listed. I've made the changed to the CORRECT ini files this time. Hopefully that'll work. I'll let you know, and thanks for the help. Andy
Grospolina
Alright, that's good. Don't forget your Verdant changes in Skyrim.ini!
nagrom2608
Made those changes. Yet to visit any places where the grass shows up. Even though i've set the correct settings. However, I'm now suffering from the infinite load screen bug whenever I fast travel, or try and enter a new area. I just installed this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465 in the hopes it works. Andy
Grospolina
Do you have any other grass mods? In Skyrim.ini, the default iMinGrassSize is 20 (higher means less grass), but Verdant recommends 70. If you have another grass mod overwriting Verdant, then it could be making the grass so sparse that you can't see it. e.g. Unique Grasses and Groundcovers, Veydosebrom, etc. Also, try going into the console (~) and typing: tg This toggles the grass on and off. If nothing appears or disappears, then there's a problem with your grass. If you post your load order, then I can make suggestions.
