follower mod

When I am searching for a follower mod is there a way I can filter it for male and female? I generally have to sift through a freakin ton of female mods to find the few male mods I am looking for. There are 100 pages of follower mods for skyrim. Out of that 100 pages I would not be surprised if more than 3/4 are female. really rather not sift through that many females.

Unfortunately, no. But, while tags to separate followers would be nice, until the tagging system gets overhauled, there isn't much point; if you block female followers, every mod with the 'female follower' tag will be blocked, even those mods that have male followers as well.

For Skyrim, you can have a look at the list I made a little while ago, if you like. It only* has custom-voiced male followers, though, rather than every male follower. There's also a thread in the SSE forums for that game.

What you might want to do, though it's initially painstaking, is go through the follower category, and block the authors who produce nothing but vacuous, vanilla-voiced female followers..
This is what I do, otherwise my Nexus home pages would be clogged with them, and I would not see the content I might actually be interested in.

Also, as noted in the list posted above, while it's a large mod that adds companions of both genders, I definitely recommend checking out Interesting NPCs. In addition to companions, it adds quests, and considerable flavour, to the game.

I have made a male only follower mods list for Special Edition, but some authors release their followers for both versions so there might be some that have an Oldrim version as well.

I'm not going to do one for Oldrim, way too many female follower mods for that. SE had a smaller amount which made it somewhat bearable. :)
