F4SE Out of Date?

Trying to get through BiRaitBec's modding settup (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/23556/?). I THINK I managed to properly remove all my mods, delete Nexus Manager, clear out my Fallout 4 data file in the documents section, then do a clean reinstall of Fallout 4. Now I've gotten to the "Install F4SE" part, used the downloader for the latest version of F4SE on their site, clicked the F4SE icon that appeared on my desktop, and was promptly informed that I was using a newer version of Fallout than it was compatible with. Did I do something wrong along the way? Did Fallout have an update when I wasn't looking? How long would I have to wait for F4SE to catch up? Should I be following BiRaitBec's tutorial in the first place?

 

Kinda stuck here, hope for some help!

Both are up to date with 10.60

I used the 7zip type as for tutorials ive never used one unless it was how to mod or clean mods (F04Edit)

My f4se kept saying that my game version was newer and I needed to wait for an update. I guess the reason why I had this problem was probably because I installed through the installer.

Installing f4se manually fixed this problem. Finally I can get mcm working.

... I can confirm what you are saying. Initially I installed it automatically and it did not work. The window stating I had a new version was popping up but ... still, I was able to get to the game ... ( very weird ) ... then I decided to install it manually and finally it did work as it was supposed to.

 

Lesson learn ... won't update the game anymore ...
