You should already have those 2 files. Did you search for those in the "C:\Windows\system32\" folder?

Also, what version of Fallout 3 do you have?

And in what directory did you install Fallout 3?

yes i serched but they are not there , my version of fallout is czech 1.7 (not gotty) with all dlcs and its instaled in program files(86x)

what you can try is download your version of games for windows live for that OS and hope to heck it comes with the gaming software required. there is an update for the newer systems you also do not have.

AND..last....Welcome to the modern age, ya windows !.....................blah !

I have 64 bit windows 7 and never had this issue. But i run fose through NMM.

Also if your system is missing Kernel32 you would be having most likely a ton of other errors going on other than not being able to run fose.

I didnt read any turtorials how to install. I simply made a new folder on my desktop, installed to desktop, threw all the files without thinking into the desktop folder with the other .exe file. Put in a xlive.dll d3d9.dll.

Point is if the other .exe file works appropriately in that folder this one should too as long as the programmer who made fose did his job correctly.

This is a pretty old game, so logically speaking when it comes to technology in order for the regular exe file to work and the whole game engine itself it would have to utilize technology present in older programs. If the fose program used technology that is more recent, you should expect a 1 - 2 hour install of a couple gigs of information because they have to reprogram your entire game engine for such technology.

But my guesses are that the people who made fose didn't feel like learning how to do all this and they probably aren't getting paid for it either, so they utilized what was already working and decided to improve on it in a less timeconsuming manner.

Long story short. Check your privacy restrictions on your pc and make sure everything is working the way it is supposed to. After windows vista they installed a protection suite to help users who don't understand the dangers of running programs as an administrator. So they enforced read-only clauses and various protection things that you yourself need to understand how to unlock for programs to work appropriately. Which in-theory, is supposed to protect you from viruses.

If you want fose to work don't install your game in program files(86x). Find another place to install it that is outside of program files/system files. It may or may not matter, but it sure as hell helps with troubleshooting since there are literally millions of cases where that directory can cause you problems in windows 7. The czech 1.7 version may not hold everything, but if you do research you can learn if it does. Maybe you can install the english version and then install the czech version over the english version.

I won't get into nmm politics here. Not relevant for a default foreign game.

yes i searched but they are not there

Pointless to argue that, fose needs it period. it's not there, it won't run.

FOSE does not support:
Retail DVD and Steam build 1.0.0.12 (the original pre-patch version of Fallout) - if you have this version, update to 1.7.0.3
Russian DVD version of Fallout 3 (it uses Starforce encryption on Fallout3.exe)
Direct2Drive version of Fallout 3 (it encrypts the Fallout3.exe) - download the game from Steam if you would like to use a digital download service
Polish DVD version of Fallout 3 (it uses SafeDisc copy protection on Fallout3.exe)

this may be the problem which is what we are attempting to find out.
