No Texture

Hi,

I noticed this problem when ever i used a mod with added textures. for example i downloaded ArmamentariumKatanas-15514 and when i went to weild one, there was nothing in my hand and i was enveloped in a large yellow yield sign. I also made sure the texture and mesh files went in their respective folders in the data folder in oblivion. This has happened with every file i have downloaded since Deadly Reflex. If anyone can help it would be much apreciated :thumbsup:

aways the answer to this is, mesh and texture files installed in wrong place or just missing. Place then in the correct folders and the problem is gone.

Attention the 'files' aren't to go in the /data folder, they have their own folders there and yet other times, they have a folder with the mod name into each /textures and /meshes folders.

most of times you just need extract the whole thing to the /data, the way they appears in the 7z. Some times on the 7z you see only one folder named Data, in this case you install the whole thing in the /Oblivion directory directly.

If it is a mod name you see in the 7z, so you need extract it to a temporary place and follows "carefully" the instructions there.

 

PS: Sometimes they may be in the correct places but you need perform an "archive invalidation", use OBMM to this.

Another common issue is when a 'new' data folder appears inside the /data one
