yenmai
is there known root cause for this, or something i did to make this happen? i thought it was the interface/translations/modname_LANGUAGE.txt issue, but... well. all the mcm menu's that have the issue lack the localization file in their bsa's, but some of the menu's are missing the bsa file WITHOUT issue. for the ones with the '$' issue, it's weird. some have $modname issues, some have ONLY $ issues, others have full $string issues. is there a root cause for this, a main _LANGUAGE.txt file that is missing somewhere or isn't being written to? is it actually because this file is missing from these bsa's, or because at least one bsa has it that the rest get some kind of dependency tacked on?the mcm's with '$' tags are for wearable lanterns, unread books glow, ineed, frostfall, and campfire if this matters. https://imgur.com/a/minKY i feel so new to all this again, it's been a whiiiile since i've played skyrim. i stopped playing shortly after t3nd0 published perma. told myself i was waiting until all the kinks got worked out. welp shouldn't have waited so long gdi T^T i spent two weeks planning a playthrough style, multiple checks on load order (75 mods, its a tiny load!), did the SOT strength test with no ctd, then i noticed the random $ in the MCM and now i can't stop seeing them.... ,_, so thanks for any help/insight! JimmyRJump
Te dollar sign appearing is because some of the used punctuation marks aren't supported. MCM is still buggy because SKSE64 is still sketchy and basically in alpha-mode.

Probably is as simple as something not supporting non-Western script or Qwerty/Azerty differences in punctuation marks not being supported yet. Gorsha
Imho you are missing text files in your data/interface/translations directory.
yenmai
Imho you are missing text files in your data/interface/translations directory.i think you're right. making the files would likely fix the issue for the mods, but i still have $ on the main menu (which another mod fixed by removing the bethesda junk text). so it's not actually an issue with the mods or even the missing files themselves, but something else not registering correctly.
