BardiSpoon
So this is my first time making a texture, I was fed up of the poor sickly looking skeevers and wanted something a little healthier looking. The problem is once I save it as a dds it adds these nasty ragged edges, which show in the game. As such my skeevers now all have these horrible lumpy whiskers. Tried searching everywhere as to whats going on and how to fix it, but I'm at a loss. Any help much appreciated, it's driving me kinda nuts lol, oh and I'm using photoshop btw. Please be gentle, its my first attempt :D http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab185/bardicspoon/skeever.png http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab185/bardicspoon/2012-03-18_00003.jpg Edited March 18, 2012 by BardiSpoon
Ghogiel
Those whiskers are defined in the textures alpha channel. Is this textured saved with DXT5.. Because there should be some alpha'd planes to make it look hairy that run down the underbelly that look messed up in your image as well, from what I can see from that angle anyway. Thanks a bunch, cleaned up the alpha channel and saved it as explicit alpha rather then 1 bit alpha as I was doing and problem solved :) Yeah I think their suffering the same problem the whiskers had, gunna have to fiddle around a bit but at least I know how now. Again, thanks a ton :)
