greyday01
I added a ruined tower to the Tamriel worldspace. It is half embedded in a mountainside and pretty much hidden on 3 sides and partially hidden by trees from the front. When you add a new structure do you need to redo the LOD each time one is added? How does this work with other mods that might also add new structures?
DavidJCobb
When you add a new structure do you need to redo the LOD each time one is added? How does this work with other mods that might also add new structures? If the structures are meant to be visible from a large distance, then I think you may need to redo the LOD for the cell(s) the structures are in, yeah. Of course, you can always just tell users to get DynDOLOD, seeing as it handles LOD for all mod-added structures in a person's mod list anyway. :P Conflicts are unavoidable if different mods add structures to the same cell. The biggest issue is that you're both going to need to edit the navmesh, and only one navmesh edit can "win." A compatibility patch can address the navmesh issue, and again, I believe DynDOLOD (on the user end) can satisfactorily handle the LOD.
agerweb
Or alternately just double click on the object in the render window to get it's Reference window open and check the "is full LOD" box. That should be sufficient.
greyday01
You can do LOD for single cells? I thought you had to do entire worldspaces. I'll try the is full LOD method for that tower, though truthfully you can't really see it from far away, that's why I placed it there. Thank you both for your help.
