Rekov
I've modded skyrim to my satisfaction with one exception. There are these tiny little rocks all over the place that clash with absolutely every environment they're in. As near as I can figure, light doesn't seem to affect them properly, so they remain one colour while everything around them changes due to the day/night cycle. They can be viewed here. What texture file is this, so I can replace/delete it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. There might be a different darker version of these for less alpine regions that's also buggy. It could also be the same file, for all I know, just playing tricks again.
ghosu
I guess this is a whole landscape/road/surface model. Ingame when you stand in front of those stones/object open the console and click on it or the surface below the stones - the object ID will be displayed. I'm sure there is a tool or way to find this ID in the creation kit...i use the dummy version, EDIT => TEXT SEARCH => OBJECTS,etc and enter the ID. The object name will be displayed then in the bottom window so you find it with the normal search box in the object window. Or open the area where you saw those stones in the cell view editor and check their properties... Edited March 19, 2012 by ghosu
Rekov
Hm. I tried removing the textures I had for those. I then tried removing every texture I have. Nothing fixed it. It must be a deeper problem, or something hidden away in an esp. Thanks for the help.
ghosu
I just edited...changing the landscape object texture should work.
Jadak
Those small rocks are auto-generated from the landscape texture, there's no actual reference. They're like the tall wavy grass in other places, only for rocky and snowy areas. Not sure where the texture is, but I'd look with the grass textures rather then the one for the actual rock and boulder objects.
PopReference
From the image I can gather this: The real problem is the dynamic snow on the rocks or lack there of, and how the light from the torch is reflected. As for what textures they use: All rocks and mountain textures come from the same source, MountainSlab01 or MountainSlab02. Could you share what mods you've use for those textures and meshes as relevent? PS: I just tried to find out if these types of rocks can be altered in CK. I found some but I can't even select them and they can't even be move with terrain edit, they just float there, what are these things?
