KingMudkip
Sorry if this is an old problem, but I can't find the fix myself, so I figured I'd ask. A friend of mine bought FO3 GOTY off of Steam and can't get it to work on his Win7 laptop. Whenever we try to load a save or start a new game, it crashes to desktop. We've tried moving the Steam directory out of ProgFiles, running the game in winXP compatibility mode, messing with the cutscene files, and a couple other things I've forgotten. Any help anyone can give would be very much appreciated. Core System Specs:Windows 7Intel Core i3 ProcessorIntegrated graphics card*4 GB RAM *The capabilities of the graphics card shouldn't be the problem; he can run Team Fortress 2 and other games just fine. EDIT: Forgot to mention: we are running no mods, just the official game and DLC files. Edited March 21, 2012 by KingMudkip
M48A5
Try this: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1357122-getting-the-goty-edition-to-work-on-win-7/. Also, just because you can run other games, does not mean you can run Fallout3. Fallout is a very graphics intensive game and requires a robust GPU.
