GamerGrl09
No offense guys, I just need lady modders. You know, girl power and all that. ;) I was wondering if someone would be nice enough to help me out. I am trying to learn to mod, for my boyfriend just as much as myself, and I have tried my hand at a few things but they always seem to fail. I tried a clothing idea, and a tattoo idea. I know they are that closely related, but it was what I was interested in making at the time. Any advice? Any help? Please? I really want to make at least one good mod lol. Thanks!! JobVanDam
Why will you only accept help from a girl? How is advice from a girl somehow superior to that of a man?
GamerGrl09
I wasn't meaning to offend anyone. It was just a preference for me to talk to another female about it. Just like people have preferences for non-skimpy or skimpy, lore-friendly or not lore-friendly. It was just mine. I apologize if I offended anyone, or made anyone mad. Tell me to piss off, and I will delete this topic and not ask for help again.
Evangela
Because I know you're not going to get a response from a female any time soon and I feel there needs to be more modders than what we have now..you can learn a bit from these: https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Category:Tutorials

montky
@OP re Post #1. howdy, and welcome to NMM.apologies for a delayed response -I more often mod collab in FO4 (though Skyrim & FO have a lot of modders mod either or hehe).many mods in Skyrim wind up being translated to FO4 and vice-versa, so it's all awesome. I want you to know, there's nothing wrong with requesting guidance or asking questions.that is how we find answers to things, and I am sure you will be up and modding in no time.Everybody has different learning styles, as V Serbu,CH Sommers, Fran of Franlab,Grace Brewster Murray Hopper and a lot of folks at ThisWeekInTech have reflected. -----I believe you'll be looking for "transparent decals" etc for the Tattoo, and recommend stuff like Tilarta, Dread74, RedRocketTV and PoorlyAged for that.you can even do 'tricky' stuff with that, like animated or glowing tattoos <--- great for 'magic arcana' etc.thats where Python, .swf and .gif etc stuff comes into things.that sounds intimidating, especially if you've never programmed in those before, though luckily, a lot of folks have 'snippets' : pre-written generic code ,for use with different stuff. your tattoo project will impart "2D-3D" skills which can be cross-utilized later, it does come in handy elsewhere elsewhen.so, if you've already got animation experience or logo-design etc,you might be surprised to find that applicable in 2D-3D, especially if you've utilized stuff like metasequoia, XNAlara or sketchup etc. as for garments, that will depend on:the programs you have access to,the effects you want your garment to have, etc.It could be as simple as Blender + GIMP, with the right 'plug-ins' and codecs.a lot of other folks utilize programs from these threads here;https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/forum/319-3d-modelling/^ the above threads are awesome reading, and contain links to many tutorials at minds, yt etc.CTL+F helps to 'speed-read', I recommend AmyAimei's many excellent tutorials.she shows the entire process of making all kinds of garments. I hope this is of some use for you,and look forward to seeing what mod-awesomeness you come up with.
