"Watch for movement. These things are fast. Shoot first, and there will be no need to ask questions later!" Whistler says, limping along the trail. He stops, puts his hand against a tree, then shoots hos flamethrower at a figure in the branches, which runs off faster than humanly possible. "That was a Wendigo.! AFTER IT!"

Raven followed them in her Mustang, screeching her tires as she pulled over behind the Corvette and raced after Whistler and David. She pulled her revolver and held it military style as she stayed close to David, scanning the woods for movement. Even though it was late, the moonlight illuminated the forest fairly well.

Shoot first, ask questions later?

What if they shot July?

Suddenly, Whistler shouted and shot the flamethrower at something. The dry brush caught fire easily, and began spreading quickly. Raven managed to get two shots off at whatever it was, but she couldn't be certain that she'd hit anything.

"We're going to have a forest fire on our hands!" She shouted as smoke began billowing up from the rapidly burning brush.

David shook his head once more. "The flamethrowers are useless here--we're just providing it with a smokescreen." He extinguished the pilot, slung the flamethrower over his back, drew the bow, and nocked an arrow. "Raven, if you see it moving, shoot it. Whistler, if it gets into an area that *won't* spread the fire, torch away. And if either of you see it stationary, let me know as subtly as possible." He quietly shifted towards Raven, still keeping his eyes on the surrounding woods. "You did remember to load the gun with silver bullets, right?"

Raven nodded, "Yep. Got more in my belt, too."

Suddenly, she saw an insanely quick form dashing off to the right. She fired twice more, barely missing.

"Dammit! It's too fast!"

David quickly drew back the arrow and shot at the stumbling creature, the arrow hitting it between the ribs and embedding in a tree on the other side. Quickly, David dropped the bow and drew his berreta, keeping it trained on the Wendigo should it get up again. "Should we kill it, or wait for it to get up and follow it in hopes of it leading us back to July?"
