Whistler takes the Iron Cosh out of his pocket and sets it behind the border. "There. Now can I talk to you?"

"How do I know you aren't going to go rouge on me and have me put you down?" he said, grinning as he walked out so whistler could see him, but still kept his distance

Whistler held out his empty hands, and wrapped his coat more tightly around himself. "Cause I said I wouldn't hurt you. I keep my word. I sensed you when I pulled up, but didn't have time for one ghost. Now your friends are defending you so avidly, I figured I would have a talk with you. Why aren't you bound to your house? Most, hell basically All ghosts are bound to where they came back to after dyin, you wander around free. It don't make sense. Another thing, Do you feel yourself losing memories? Pain that you can't explain?"

Adam just looked at him, he liked to be the one asking the questions, not the other way around, he still didn't trust the man either " To answer your questions, I don't know. I can remember the majority of my life. What kind of pain? Mental or physical? ... well you get what I mean by physical, right?" he paused "And what do you mean, sensed me?"

"I'm a psychic. Helped me stay alive all these years. And pain, of any sort, but usually near either your heart or the bottom of your gut. Those are where connections to your 'Higher self' are said to be, the part of yourself waiting on the other side. Why did you not move on? See the loved ones waiting on the other side of the doorway? Why did a reaper not come to collect you?"

"Whats a reaper?" he asked, he doubted that even now there were ghosts and demons anyone could read a mind, and if this man could... he was kind of disgusted by the thought. No one has a right to invade others minds.

Whistler sees an expression of disgust cross the gfhost's face when he mentions Psychics. "I only sense that things are there, or where they will be. I cannot read minds, or move objects."

"Hmm? Ah, a reaper. They collect the souls of the dead to bring them on to the afterlife. Usually look like a skeletal robed figure, or a creepy gray suited man, but they can look like anyone. Women, men, don't matter, long as they get the job done. And no, I ain't as young as I used to be, so my abilities are... diminishing. But I still sense enough when I focus to keep me alive." Whistler gave his usual stern blue-grey look. "Is that enough?"

Adam looked at him "How does everyone seem to be able to tell I'm a ghost? July, Amy and Raven knew as soon as they entered my house, then Jim knew on sight, and now you. I checked myself, I don't look too dead... pale maybe, but not dead, so how can you all tell?"
