Massive Mod install problems

I'm not sure how you have everything set up Tolrick. But if you only have one drive I'd recommend installing Nexus to your C: Drive (If that's what is it called) and install it to a folder named "Games" create the folder in your C: Drive not inside program files. Then have Steam installed to your Program Files x86. There should be no conflicts this way.

"Should I just move Steam completely out of that area into it's own C:/Steam folder?" No, If Steam installed it to Program Files x86 that is perfectly fine.

"Should I delete the one I've created and put the default back?" For the Fallout4Custom.ini? I don't think that matters an awful lot if you create a new or not.

I can't see what you have and don't have let's go with this. Where your game saves are located do you have three INI files under "Documents >My Games > Fallout 4" which are Fallout4Prefs.ini, Fallout4Custom.ini, Fallout4.ini And inside your Fallout 4 Steam install directory do you have Fallout4_Default.ini and a Fallout4Prefs.ini inside a folder called "Fallout4".

I did put the Nexus Mod manager in C:/Games/Nexus Mod Manager/

I do not have a Documents/My Games/Fallout 4/Fallout4Custom.ini

I do not have a Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Fallout4Prefs.ini file

None of the files I have are read only.

and in trying to remove your video link, I deleted whatever code this forum uses to end quotes. It's not using basic hypertext.

Everything else is there.

Somehow, in trying to remove that video link, I managed to remove whatever this forum is using to end quotes, and I can't find out how to restore them.

I also can't figure out how to delete a post I've made so I can repost.

So now these forums are starting to piss me off too.

No one said anything about altering the prefs.ini file, which I don't even have because the game has graciously decided to not provide me with one.

Do I move the one in the saved games folder? Copy it?

Honestly, I have never had this much trouble getting mods to work for any game.

"I do not have a Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Fallout4Prefs.ini file" I have it like this for this INI. Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Fallout4/Fallout4Prefs.ini There is a folder named "Fallout4" inside the install directory.
"I do not have a Documents/My Games/Fallout 4/Fallout4Custom.ini" Create one and save it as .ini and add the following.

[Archive]
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

Run the game create a character or load a save and exit out. And check to see if it was updated with new text.

Found the prefs.ini file. It didn't even have a section for [Launcher], so I put it in at the bottom, like the video said it should be.

Between posts, a Fallout4Custom.ini showed up in the other folder from I have no idea where.

Loaded a saved game, and I can't tell what changes were made to the prefs.ini, but the custom.ini file had no changes made to it.

Altered the graphics setting in the Launcher and neither file seemed to have any changes. Was I supposed to run the game then quit out?
