Firstslayer
I am getting heavy lag which then leads to a CTD whenever I get near the general area of New Vegas steel. I am using NVSE and 4GB loader because there i am using the WARZONES mod and there is A LOT of NPCS around that area as well. I wouldn't think that is the cause because I am level 46 and haven;t had a problem till now. Here is my load order: Load order please any help will do. Maybe i can try clearing off all the NPC's around the area? I have used energy weapons to turn people into ash and goo. Thanks, Andrew

Firstslayer
experimentally uninstall Warzones and see if the problem clears itself up That helped. unchecking WARZONES and WARZONES respawner and the mergedpatch helped me get to New Vegas Steel. But it still seems to crash when; i believe to be IWS, respawns NPCS. I think too many NPCS can cause a CTD. Any more help and i will be grateful :) Thanks, Andrew
Fonger
ok try something entirely strange reactivate the mods load the problematic save then fast travel all around the map (yes it sounds stupid) then go back to where you had the save (same location) then try walking to Vegas Steel or try approaching from an entirely different location and direction (after the sightseeing tour) --- sometimes an enemy gets trapped underground and going a different route can liberate the problem. other than that you know the issue has to do with things created by Warzones in this particular location Edited March 27, 2012 by Fonger

But i believe it's just that i've been playing FNV for too long. 18MB save file. Using laser weapons to turn people into ash. I have a No Ash and Goo mod but for some reason when i first created the mergepatch it doesn't work. I don't know why my system isn't handling this. Fonger
the ephemeral ash and goo pile mod won't delete existing ash piles, only ones that are created while it is running. and is incorporated into the New Vegas Error Correction mod Edited March 27, 2012 by Fonger
Firstslayer
Just right now I downloaded a new mod for no ash and goo. and i test on a few radscorps and they still appear. And i took your advice, right now i fast traveled to goodsprings then hidden valley with good framerates and no crash. Most likely because they're aren't tons of NPCS Edit: Scratch that, right after i posted i fast traveled and i instantly CTD..:( Edited March 28, 2012 by Firstslayer
JimboUK
Try this, go indoors, wait 72 hours and then try going there again. I've found this sometimes clears problematic areas and has done so since Morrowind.
