SteveGreenFire
Hey so recently i've been trying to add my own weapons or shields to skyrim. I've already created the model, edited with nifskope, and created it as a new weapon/shield in the creation kit.Till now everything works properly, but when i go to equip it ingame it doesn't appear at the players waist, or in his hand....it appears underneath him :s I've been weeks looking up forums and tutorials but nobody else seems to have this problem :/ and yes, i have added the scabbard ... any help would greatly be appreciated :) :)
ghosu
You loaded a reference weapon into your 3D Editor and placed your new weapon at the same position OR changed its coordinates in NifSkope so its in the same position as the original weapon was?I can't imagine any other common error if you followed a correct tutorial - at least i was never confronted with anything similar and i already imported a few weapons. ghosu
I would recommend to upload NIF+mesh+textures and post the link. Edited March 27, 2012 by ghosu
SteveGreenFire
Ok so i am going to upload one of the models i have made. It is a kunai, and i'm am trying to use it as a dagger. I uploaded the nif file, the mesh and the textures. These files are not edited by nifskope though so you wont be confused :P Thanks a lot :) Kunai Model_NIF_Texture
ghosu
You tried to open an existing dagger in NifSkope and just replace the model? Or you made it all from scratch? Because replacing an original one would work for sure...as i show it in part 3 of my signature tutorial, 'cause if you used this uploaded NIF as base without replacing an original dagger things f*ck up pretty easy. I'm not talking 'bout copy/paste from an original file in a 2nd window, it's more like open an original one and replace the dagger's NiTriShapeData, realign the BSlightningshaderproperties and such stuff. SteveGreenFire
yeah i copied the daggers lightershaderproperty into mine, and copied also the collisionobject and the other 3 above it. The only thing i didn't copy was the blood one but i don't thing those are to blame :/ Would you be willing to try arrange it for me please ?? ghosu
Dude, don't copy it from one NIF into yours, with this method you make error much easier...just open an original NIF from a random dagger and replace the weapon - check out part 3 of my sig tutorial, that takes you 5min and you know it for your next weapon. ;)
