Switch
well go 2 level 3 of the puzzle canal and u will reach a shrine, which will tell u a cryptic message. just drop under the water and let urself drown, and u'll be able 2 continue. then just grab a silver longsword from the chest next 2 the dremora and give it 2 him 2 complete the pilgrimage. Micge
Ah... K-thx. Tried something similar but didn't have enough trust to let my char die. Loading is such a pain... -M

boohoomoo
That stupid cryptic message "Breathe the waters of his glory, and way shall be revealed" totally stumped me.What's the first thing I do, pop a Water Breathing potion and dive in. Wait a little bit, surface, and nothing happens. hmmm, so I go back under and start looking all over for a door or lever or the like. No dice. Finally, after a good hour of scouring that room (I mean, how many times can you rattle the grates and prod the pillars and corners before giving in?), and even trying to use my water breathing potions and water walking spells to get me past the waterwall, I gave up and did the unthinkable (asked someone to tell me the answer). FlyingFox
Probably the first person to figure this out (owing to the fact that the messege is unintelligeable) got so frustrated while downing all his water breathing potions and searching for underwater doors that he got up and said, "Thats it! Thats it, I'm just gonna drown myself now!" And Lo! and behold! it turns out you do have to drown yourself to advance. Now who's kicking themselves in the face?
Rune
The NPC's talk about how there's cool treasure and everything down there but all that's there is that stupid shrine. You would think something would be down there but no....
Stampede
Haha, yeah I remember talking about this on the previous general morrowind forum (R.I.P) The peasants obviously have never made the pilgrimage and so they make up fanciful tales for us so as to escape the tedium of gathering slop from mucksponges
