Lord of the Rings Return of the Witch King

Narif walked around the Mirkwood stronghold organising troops and villagers ready for the oncoming attack from the Witch Kings forces. Gondorian soldiers had arrived to help and the Rohirim had arrived to. Archers stood in watch towers and pikemen stood behind the towering gate. Narif took point with his elven bow which was black and gold and aimed towards the trees.

Tiruviel stood with her back against the tree, watching the men as they were getting ready for the attack. They had plenty of archers already so she decided that it is best if she used her sword in the battle. The elf wondered how will the battle end. She loved Mirkwood, this was her home for most of her live and she was ready to sacrifice her own life if needed to save it...

Mariner was in his personal tent, polishing his new bow he got from his Captain, he liked seeing his bow nice and clean before blood splatter gets onto the bow again. A lower ranked Rhûn private entered the room, he stood at attention until Mariner looked up at him to see he was still waiting. Mariner shook his head and put his bow back on the table in the tent and walked over to the private.

 

"What do you want underling?" Mariner asked bashfully.

 

"Captain needs you sir, something about an attack." The private answered, scared.

 

Mariner shoved the private out of the way and stepped out. The warm sun immediately started beating on his skin that wasn't covered by his clothes or armor. He walked through the camp observeing each tent carefully to see what everyone was doing, as he neared the Captains tent he kicked a bird that was eating left over food on the ground, Mariner picked up the bowl and threw it at the nearest tent, which so happened to be that owner of the bowl. "Pick up your food! Don't waste it idiots!" Mariner screamed as he walked into the Captains tent. The Captain laughed as Mariner entered and he stood at attention.

 

"Picking on the recruits eh Mariner?" The Captain said.

 

"Only way to get though to them sir." Mariner replied.

 

"We need to discuss about this attack, shove back the Gondorian troops." The Captain added.

 

Mariner walked over to the table and started to discuss the plans of the attack.

Scarlet sat atop a table in the main camp, she had her Katana drawn and was sharpening it with her other blade, she then tested it's sharpness on a rabbit, which was hopping along the floor, with one swift light strike, it was cut in two, and Scarlet smiled beneath her mask, perching herself atop the table again, getting her equipment ready, never once speaking a word.

Mariner and the Captain continued their discussion on the siege of Mirkwood, the maps and plans were all scattered on the table and some fell to the floor.Mariner picked up the scattered papers and set them back on the table.

 

"Look, the scouts said the back way isn't guarded, but the wall has posed a problem. We can use one of the Mad Bombers explosives to break down the wall. However, that would create a bunch of noise, but the scouts said their forces would be at an disadvantage at the wall, the wall is located at and open courtyard which we could pick off anyone in the open." Mariner said.

 

"Sounds like a plan, were going to attack in the next following week. Tell Scarlet the news." The Captain said.

 

Mariner left the Captains tent to see the owner washing off the tent from the food that Mariner threw, he smiled under his helmet and continued walking toward the main camp. He finally reached Scarlet's tent and he sighed. Mariner quickly entered and stood at attention. "Me and the Captain have despised a plan ma'am." Mariner said firmly.

More elven archers lined the walls bows resting on there backs. Narif ordered many soldiers and got the women and children to safe places. He then ordered the barring of the gate and awoke 2 ents to fight. He then stood on the wall will his special silverthorn arrow and his bow. Spies came back and reported of the oppositions position. He talked a chief captain in elven and waited.

Scarlet looked at Mariner as she leapt off the table, she put her blade away and made a gesture with her hands, A hint for him to tell her the plan.

Mariner relaxed a bit, he felt uneasy around Scarlet, but he didn't know why. "The plan is to enter through a wall in the back of Mirkwood, we would use a Mad Bomber to destroy the wall, we will pick off anyone in the courtyard behind it. After this we storm the castle and kill anyone who opposes us." Mariner said.

Tiruviel had decided to sneak to the forest for a bit. Maybe there are some enemies nearby... She looked around to see if no one's watching. It seemed that everyone were busy so she simply walked towards the exit.

She quietly left the settlement and went deeper into the dark forest. She stopped to rest for a bit.

Scarlet smiled, she gave the thumbs up to the plan, not really caring though, she just wanted to bloodshed to start. That was when an Orc brought in a prisoner, an Elf that tried to run away from Gondor, to escape the witch kings horde. the orc said "This one was tryin ta run away! Though ya might like im boss!" The orc said, putting the elf before Scarlet. She quickly spun around like a hurricane, drawing her blades as she did so, one cutting the Elf's neck, slicing his juggular wide open, and the other stabbing into his heart, as she withdrew her blades the blood poured all over her, and she moved her head around, almost as if washing in the pouring blood.
