Neck Seams; Females have darker heads than bodies

Iâm having an issue where every NPC in the game plus the PC has a visible neck seam and the females have noticeably darker skin from the seam up on their heads than the rest of their body below the seam. I have spent a good amount of time researching and trying to fix the problem but nothing worked yet.

 

Iâm using CBBE, and have tried using TexBlend Lite but it did not fix it. I also tried disabling each mod that overwrites CBBEâs files (skin texture-altering mods) one by one and none of them were responsible for the issue. I also tried disabling CBBE itself which did not work either. I also read that for many people ApachiiHair was causing this issue, but disabling it also did not change anything.

 

At this point, I have no idea what to do or what is causing the issue. If anyone has any idea how I might fix this please let me know.

Make sure the armor/clothing mods you are using are also CBBE (they have to match your body type or you will get neck seams).

Could have different reasons:

 

1. An issue occured by "cross"-installing different bodyreplacers and/or textures. (head textures don't fit the body textures)

 

2. It is necessary to export the facetints+facegeometry of those characters in creation kit via ctrl + F4. Keywords: "neck-seam-bug", "black-face-bug"

Finally found a solution. Delete textures\actors\character\female in the CBBE folder and then reinstall CBBE. There was something extra in the folder that was messing things up, possibly resulting from earlier work in TexBlend.
