Sudden CTDs

Not all that long ago I was playing Skyrim with around 100 different mods, as of now my game CTD with only around 30 installed and I haven't a clue why.

8GB RAM

1060 6GB

To my knowledge I shouldn't have any huge issues with compatibility but someone tell me otherwise if I do

you said you used to play the game with around 100 mods . so what happened when you now only use around 30?

have you just removed most of the mods , and got back to playing the game? did you start a new character , or used an existing save file?

have you made sure to properly uninstall all of the mods you did , and properly install all the ones you did as well?

how often does your game crash? does it crash on start? crash on save load? crash after playing for some time? does it happen completely randomly or in specific areas or on specific actions?

you need to provide more usable information if you want anyone to understand your situation

 

as a side note , please provide you load order next time , instead of your mod list . while this has some decent information , it's really messy to look through , and does not contain the load order which usually helps identify problems

To answer your questions,

1. My game CTD when I go near Riverun

2. I started a new character with the following mods installed

3. I used MO to uninstall any mods I had previously and fully restored my Skyrim to its original files before installing these mods

4. It crashes around most major landmarks, Labyrinthian, Whiterun, Riverun, Windhelm, etc. as well as sudden CTD randomly

Have you run loot? Did you load the load order up into TES 5 Edit? Is the bashed patch needed? I suggest you delete it if its not needed. Is SKSE installed correctly I don't see a scripts folder in your load order. Are your INI files setup correctly? Are you using an ENB or ENBoost? Are your ENBlocal.ini files setup correctly? Do you have memory allocation setup correctly? Is memory being managed with crash fixes or SKSE? Have your master files been cleaned in TES5 edit? Have you tried running the game with no mods loaded? Is it better or worse?

 

A bit cryptic I know an I want to help. Skyrim is an awesome game and these crashes can be and are very frustrating. I also have had more than my fair share of them trust me. Setup is key too success. Lets start with them INI files. Download and install this https://rd.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787 that will setup them ini files. While you are on the web page here, take a peek at the tutorial on how to set it up correctly or as close to a good as it gets. Brilliant little program I use it. I'd book mark the youtube channel and keep it handy he has some awesome setup information which may help you far more. When they are setup install TES 5edit you can find it here on Nexus. Then grab the latest version of loot and install that if you haven't already. Gopher has some excellent tutorials on setting up SKSE correctly with both MO and NMM same principles apply. While you are on Gophers channel watch his tutorial on how to clean your master files with the TES5 Edit. Then look for his memory management explanation and tutorial. You'll also need to get some enb files and set up ENBoost so you can manage memory. Crash fixes also helps. Then stress test a new toon with timescale 1000 and set speed too 500, run around for 30 mins or so in god mode spawn extra mobs stress the game. See how it handles it. You can get to solitude on foot in a few minutes if Skyrim survives that ordeal your getting somewhere. Stability is key.

I have played enough to know all this, I used LOOT, I've cleaned everything, my ini files are setup, Ive watched gopher, all that I want to know if my mod order is what is killing my game

have you set up SFO properly?

I see that SFO Dragonborn is loaded before the main SFO plugin , and I'm pretty sure this isn't recommended (though I'm not sure if it will cause problems)

but have you set SFO with the ini edit as said in the mod's page?

 

frequent random crashes could be due to the game running out of memory

have you considered using the 4GB patch , and some of the crash prevention tools for Skyrim?

If your issues are due to memory problems , you should be able to optimize your game to run far better

Did you just delete mods while they're ticked in your mod manager without following proper uninstall procedures? That'll likely do it.
