I just wanted to ask a question but please keep in mind I'm way too lazy to really get into the nitty-gritty technical details and trouble-shooting. I'm content with letting sleeping dogs lie and focus on a different game for the time being. My question is: Has anyone experienced a complete laptop (or otherwise) meltdown after installing Morowind Mods? I mean, a total wipe that has to be built again from scratch. The story is: I grabbed some mods, played around with them, grabbed some more, installed them, and POW, laptop dies, irrevocably. All data lost. Well, actually, my roomie (better at tech issues than me) was able to grab some data like most of my songs. So we reinstall everything (Windows and all) and I'm setting things up, playing more Morrowing, thinking the crash was a fluke. Silly me, I installed more mods, played around, installed more, and POW it all crashed again, exactly the same terminal way. I really don't remember which exact mods may be causing the issue. I'm really just wondering if I'm the only one to ever encounter such a thing? Cheers!
Dragon32 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Really unlikely (impossible, actually) to be mods causing that. Sounds like wider issues with the laptop which just happened to manifest when playing Morrowind.
