Problem with mods meta data

Have a problem, when manually installing mods - Vortex can't handle meta data.

For example:

In MO I manually download mod -> put it into MO downloads directory -> In MO download tab right click on a mod -> Query info -> type mod ID -> profit, all mod's meta data handled.

In Vortex I cant do it, because I manually download mod -> put it into Vortex downloads directory -> In Vortex download tab click view meta data -> paste file version and source URL -> save -> install -> no metadata in mod tab. When in Vortex download tab I clicked view meta data again -> file version and source URL fields were empty, so my changes doesn't saved.

Maybe I'm doing smth wrong?

I'm trying to figure this out as well. I get nothing useful when I click View Meta Data in the Downloads section... in fact, several fields become outlined in red as if indicating that there was an error reading the information. I didn't try to type anything in to those fields, because with several hundred mods that would be ridiculous.

 

An "Acquire metadata for all mods" button like NMM has would be ideal. (that wasn't the label on the button, but I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about). That was always my favorite feature of NMM versus MO, actually. With MO you had to do it one by one with Query Info (unless I missed something).

The changes (even to the name) done to an not installed File gone lost.

install it then:

Vortex -> Mods -> Double click on the mod -> In the Data SubTab select "Source" -> Nexus Mos -> Will appear the string with the Mod Number (Nexus mod Id) , insert it (check the Mod page Url or the File name) -> wait some seconds -> complete the other information like Category and version

 

So far I think it will only get Nexus mod ID
