falloutguy93 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I am getting bad performance while trying to do more than 1 thing at a time, be it Downloading, then scrolling through mod list, Installing and trying to dismiss Notifications, it slows down the program to a complete halt until that one task is done. Still under sub 30% CPU usage on an i5 4670k @4.12GHz (Silicon Lottery ) only time it went over was when I was installing Old World Radio a 6+GB mod, so that was to be expected, it also ate my RAM. I know this is an Alpha and that the Code isn't optimised as much as it can be, and I expect once full alpha, and major bugs have been squashed, that the Program will run like a dream. But the reason I am writing this is in Discussion and not feed back is, I am just asking to see if this is just me and my system or if it is in fact due to it being an early alpha release build. I haven't really seen anything in terms of it being slow, so I just assumed everyone is having this cause it is in alpha. But lately I have been paranoid of my PC's performance.
HardwareSc8 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 It's not just you. The program itself is kinda slowish, and when I was migrating MO/MO2 builds in, it was absolutely annihilating my computer in terms of trying to do ANYTHING else, even post here on the forums or other such non-Vortex activities...
falloutguy93 Posted February 2, 2018 Author Posted February 2, 2018 Yeah I didn't notice much slow down when importing but I was watching that import like a Hawk so I wasn't doing much of anything. I figured it wouldn't be just me with performance issues. But I just had to ask.
HalfLazy Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 I had none, and I put it under a lot of stress... Edit: to be precise -> I've not imported anything, I've tested like a fresh user starting with 0 mods to 210, maybe is that?
kamikatze13 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 i mean, you're using web technology on a desktop, what did you expect?
