JinxiBear
hey so i'm having a sudden issue with crashing a few minutes after getting in the game. i have used loot and i do have TES5Edit but i'm too afraid to mess with anything. Loot does say i have some dirty files such as ITM, navmeshes and deleted references which are here:[EDIT] Update.esm - TES5Edit found 92 ITM records and 3 deleted references. fixedDawnguard.esm - found 619 ITM records, 82 deleted references and 57 deleted navmeshes. fixedHearthguard.esm - found 184 ITM records, 11 deleted references and 5 deleted navmeshes. fixedDragonborn.esm - found 61 ITM records, 8 deleted references and 1 deleted navmesh. fixedethereal_elven_overhaul.esp - found 6 ITM recordsTheEyesOfBeauty.esp - found 2 ITM recordsi've tried reading the cleaning guide but it was a little confusing for my newbie brain. i don't see how modders can read that stuff xD anyways i was wondering also if i would have to fix these n how [very simple step by step guide like reading a recipe plz lol] and also if i had my mods in order. i have no idea what could be the cause of my crashing since i went on a 2 day mod spree... lol [what can i say yall have some good mods][EDIT] moved some stuff around 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp 6 6 Falskaar.esm 7 7 ApachiiHair.esm 8 8 Schlongs of Skyrim - [i have a slight personal comprehensive issue] I came here as a last resort and all of this has me so stressed out i literally have a bald spot to prove it. x.x uhm and ik i got off topic but these are my only guesses as to why it isnt working.... i just dont know how to fix it entirely....thanks so much for anyone's help![EDIT] So i was continuing to look up how to clean my dirty files with tes5edit and found this! first great how to video i've seen in a week!! now my files are nice and clean! however i haven't checked to see if it fixed my crashing issue just yet. ill come back and let you know. :D also i didnt clean the last two because i didnt know if u could or not? o.oi still need help figuring out what mods i do n don't need and what are not compatible or if there is something that i need to manually change the load order around.[EDIT] welp it crashed still... now what... :/ [EDIT] Edited February 14, 2018 by JinxiBear
Pippboss
Step one is lots of research you found the man of moment with Gophers tutorials. I'd also take a peek at GamerPoets YouTube channel along with Dirtyweasel media. All 3 of these guys have some exceptional help and guides. One thing I did notice is you have one of the official texture packs selected and the other two are not. Most likely have some serious conflicts If you went on a modding spree. As you use NMM a good way to quickly check what has errors in them is to load up your entire load order with Tes 5Edit. If it finds an error it will stop the background loader and tell you what the error is. It wont tell you how to fix it. But most of the time it will be a load order issue. Move offending mod where it needs to be. When you can get to the end of the load order without it stopping you are on the right tracks. You may need to do this many times. You might not. Loot is great but its far from perfect Example error [00:08] Background Loader: [RealisticWaterTwo.esp] Processing completed[00:08] Background Loader: Fatal: <Exception: "RealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.esp" requires master "RealisticWaterTwo.esp" to be loaded before it.>[00:11] Background Loader: finishedI created that error just for this post by moving one mod up or down in my load order in MO then I ran xEdit to provide you with this example Then I would load up the entire load order select all the mods in that load order up until the unofficial patch. (never mess with that one it will break mods that rely on it).As for a definitive guide as to how to fix that specific load order I don't think one could be written sadly. Way too many variables.I'll link you to some wizardry called BethINI https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787 it sets up INI files for Skyrim. The mod page also has a link to a YouTube tutorial that explains how to use it. How to set it up. You may also want to switch to a tool called Mod Organizer. At the moment its the modders choice when it comes to Skyrim because it allows you to visually see what is conflicting with what. It also never writes anything to Skyrim folder so you can just delete the lot and run vanilla Skyrim if you wanted to :ohmy:I may not have been much help but you need to use your own judgment, maybe some mods need to be removed completely. You could use feed back from Tes5 Edit as a guide.Best advice though, you will hate. I'd deactivate all of the mods then delete my Skyrim data folder then head to steam and re verify skyrim and get it back to a vanilla state then run Skyrim oncei'd clean the masters as shown in Gophers tutorial then start reactivating the mods in a more logical order. I'd also test a lot along the way. Its very time consuming. You may also need to download and install 'crash fixes' an make sure you test its working. An MO tutorial can be found in Dirtyweaselmedia's 2016 modding guide.Test along the way. Remember Skyrim is awesome modded. Start off easy with unofficial patches. Then anything marked as an ESM. Then SKSE (watch Gopher's guide) then i'd run UI stuff like skyui maps and anything else in your load order. Armor mods all together, weapon mods all together. NPC' mods you will need to use the mod pages as a guide along with things like Body slide. Texture mods generally don't come with an ESP so install order is not so important but it actually is unless you want missing texture's.You'll also need an ENB and (depending on your pc) a pre-set so you can run the memory hacks although Crash fixes can work around it. Then using logic id re activate the rest of the mods and use LOOT along the way. At the bottom or rather last id then install FNIS and any mods dependent on it. Then run generate FNIS for users. See the mod page and watch setup tutorials Your game is running a very heavy load order. At Skyrim start up the game has a lot going on as scripts fire for 1st time and the game starts in the cart. This can be a major problem with starting the game. Even perfectly stable modded games can crash. Download and install ''Alternate Start live another life'' which allows you to start in a prison and create your character. It then starts all the mods up. The benefit in this means the stress on the game engine is lower. Then if you wish you can actually do a vanilla start. Also great for testing along the way. You can make a vanilla character and test it out as a base line. Without the need to constantly go through the vanilla start every time you want to test a mod is working. If you can get a stable game learn to stress test it with everything running at increased speed. Convenient horses (horse mod) comes with a built in script latency test. Its worth running the mod just for that feature alone. It can give you a good indication as to how the game will run. High script latency is bad news. Good luck, take your time. Learn what the mods are doing to the game. Don't be afraid to experiment but follow mod author's advice. Use Loot, Test test test. Pippboss
The back ground loader manages to finish. Which tells me you can try a skyrim start up. Expect it to crash though.Questions. Did you run FNIS for users after installing your animations?Did you run Body slide and create and generate a body for Body slide? You may also need a body CBBE or UNP along with a (Skeleton) XP32SME. The skeleton will work for both body types its also needed for the fella's from SoS but you need to pick a body type and then pick through all your armour mods and make sure you have the right armour for the right body. Them armor mods require the UNP or CBBE body (only one) and the corresponding armour file. IE CBBE body with CBBE armour. Or just deactivate Emfy and any other armours that require a certain skeleton. Then Set up a body/skeleton. Again this can get complicated quickly so watch some or as many tutorials on the web. Get it wrong your game will crash, You'll have mismatching textures and or meshes. It can get messy fast.in SummaryRealistic ragdolls and force <--installXP32 skeleton Install it but pick options for a certain body type UNP based or CBBE based. As you have body slide already installed, pick options for it. You may need to reinstall this and check its installing for the right body this program does both.CBBE or UNP Install either depending on the skeleton you just installed. I think fastest way to get you into game is to deactivate them armour mods that come with HDT physics and that bashed patch. Now test Skyrim. IF you can get into the game and stay in game do a stress test. See if it crashes. Ok after further inspection I can see 4 mods that Have these requirements. 85 55 Merta Black Rose Armor.esp 86 56 HentaiSuccubusArmor.esp 87 57 NewVampChainsCuirass.esp ?? not sure about that oneEmfy. Might be more of em you'll have too check. If it runs then do the body install (watch tutorials) then install/reactivate the armours. Run body slide and then FNIS for users. It should all be back together and working. As for its stability I cant say. Most of your load order is alien to me I'm afraid. As for that bashed patch, until you know you have some semblance of stability. Go into skyrim/Data and delete it. Its one of the last things you do an only do if you know you need it. Only if the game will require it. Having a bad bashed patch will kill Skyrim pretty fast lol. Good luck hope it works  Edited February 14, 2018 by Pippboss
leonardo2
I know you need to have a USLEEP+CRF+RDO AFT patch active, 209 d1 Relationship Dialogue Overhaul.esp210 d2 RDO - AFT v1.66 Patch.esp Also, you shouldn't have UFO active at the same time as AFT since both mods are incompatible. Either uninstall AFT or UFO (I don't use UFO), if you want a stable modded game. 58 3a UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul.esp Edited February 14, 2018 by leonardo2

Taedus
Not really sure how stable AFT is, but UFO is outdated so you should remove that. I'm using EFF and it works fine. You should read this discussion: https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/41klwr/what_is_the_musthave_follower_mod_aft_ufo_eff_etc/. After reading that I decided EFF was a better mod. Also, don't blindly trust LOOT. It just checks what masters your files need and kinda randomizes the rest. You should put all ELFX addons at the bottom, after the main ELFX mod but before the Bashed Patch. Not saying it will help with CTD, but it's the recommended load order.
