Game stalls loading saves

Hi I don't know if this is an Oblivion tech problem or a mod problem but my game stalls loading my resent saves

the loading bar just stops at some point. I have to use con-alt-del or alt-tab to end it. while I have plenty of mods I don't think it is purely a mod problem as it worked before.

If anyone has any idea please let me know,I know this is a little vague however I don't know what else to say.

Have you changed load order recently?

I saw this problem once, new games works fine but the saved ones stalls in the load. Although I don't traced the reasons I think this is for some kind of deadlock akin the ones that occurs when quiting the game leading it to crash or freeze.

If you use several mods that changes similar things, like most overhauls, the load order becomes critical.

Edit: Some times the load resumes... But one need a Job's patience since happens to take minutes to the engine resolve the cross references. But most of times they remain deadlocked for good. The bounty is once loaded and saved again the issue is gone.

If you use more than one overhaul and so FCOM, my advise is you following religiously the load order indicated. If your saved games yet fails to load they may be corrupted beyond hope.

Edit 2: You can rest assured is not a "reading data" the problem, better saying, isn't a hardware problem. Your HD is just fine.

If someyone is interested in know how this occurs I can shown a scenery where this kind of issue arises.

Some mod was loaded normally and now the engine ask for the other.. that new is so loaded and the engine try to put its content in the memory and pages, but there is something equal already there...

For most of the times this is not a problem, the former is just overwrite (and so is the way the last in the load order "wins") but sometimes the engine can't delete the object for it being "father" of some other object that, so, depends on it. But the new one need to be allocated over the first before the process continues and so the engine must track all the structure trying resolve the dependences. If it succeed the load continues, if not... stalls... worse, since it possibly was loading the actual mod the HD keep spinning as crazy. This kind of deadlock as normal involve some complex interdependence the engine's logic must solve.

Edit: This happens to be not a problem except where the object that is in the savegame doesn't match the one that "won" the load.

The picture showed in the former scenery, although possible is very rare if even occurs in the oblivion logic. I never saw this occurring although is a typical issue with databases. but the case of the savegame finding the "wrong" object is pretty common.
