Majorshepard
:WARNING: This has spoilers for the Berserk Manga! If you have not read it and plan to, or not far in it, DO NOT READ THIS POST! Thank you. :WARNING: If you are like me and you love Berserk, or read it and like, you might think like I do. Skyrim is the perfect place for Berserk settings. A few are out there, like the Hawk greatsword Guts had when he was with them, his Black swordsman armour and the Iconic dragon slayer sword. But I think we need more :D Even oblivion had a rare few mods related to Berserk and I think that with the new films coming out a influx of mods would be good as it would generate more interest by people who watched the first film :D Here are a few ideas I have about berserk: 1. The Berserker armour - I have looked on the forums and someone has requested it so I am just putting it hear as it is a must :P Maybe it could have an ability that activates when certain prerequistites are fulfilled, like 10-20% health. When the ability is activated a regeneration ability is activated, restoring health at 10 points per second and the player enters a "Rage" mode that increases damage dealt by a certain amount and reduces damage taken, speed might also be increased but then we don't want the armour to be too overpowered. Like in the manga though it is a dangerous mode when activated as you will see everyone as an enemy, if that is not possible just make every npc attack you or something. 2. The sacrifice Brand - a special tattoo that causes damage depending on the severity of the attacking enemy. If attacked by animals it will deal 0.5 damage, if attacked by a person (say a bandit or guardsman) then 1-2 damage, and if attacked by a high level enemy, like a dragon or something, it would be 5-8 damage. If fighting something as strong or serious as Alduin it would do 10 damge, with 1 damage per 3 seconds. You can implement those mechanics if you want or just make it a superficial mark, maybe give a bleeding animation when getting attacked. Maybe text could appear on screen that says how much it bleeds and hurts when it activates. 3. New monsters from the manga - Such as the "Elves" women from the forest that were transformed children, or the transformed soldiers. Or even zombies that attack you during night time. This could merge with the sacrifice brand as it draws all kinds of monsters and beings to kill you. You get attacked by ghosts, zombies and inccubi at night, and attacked by Apostles that hide as NPC's or random characters on the road. And they should be HARD. Even on easy these guys should be difficult to defeat as they are creatures spawned by strong emotions and people's desires. 4. Boss encounters - Now this is were it gets really interesting. Include scenes from the actual manga, albeit with changes to fit into the game as you are not Guts. Such as the first Zodd fight in the fort. Start it off as fighting a bigger than average Orc that then turns into a giant Minotaur that regenerates very quickly and can fly. Once it gets to low enough health, or is the fight last for a certain amount of time, a Random white armour clad man enters the room (Griffith but he will just be called unknown man as you don't know him) and helps you to fight the beast. When its health is nearly gone it causes a knockback effect that blows both the npc and player away, he says the lines from the managa about Griffith and then flys out the room or dissapears, depending on what is more possible. The man is then able to be talked to and he can offer training or advice, but then leaves to rejoin his band of hawks. Another example could be the "Elf" leader in the forest that had a Behelit and transformed into what, the child thought, an elf would look like. But it corrupted them and they thought that playing games included killing civilians and random passer bys. It could even include a fight with the naga man from the beginning of the manga. I know someone has made a mod similar to this but it replaces Ulfric Stormcloak and Galmar, I didn't want to replace them, these are NEW characters not a replacements. 5. Elf companion - This is obviously Puck but he can be renamed to something else so it doesn't break Berserk lore (As Guts should have Puck not the player), the first character to join Guts on his adventure. This guy can be just a simple light that follows the player around and can heal at a steady 2 health per 5 seconds, or a burst of 10 health. It could either be a spell or an idependent character, somehow. It would also have text that can say simple things like a joke on a random padestrian, pointing out things of interest or even talking about where they are at that current place and time. For example entering a cave puck could say "This place sure is dark, I hope I don't get stuck in any cobwebs!" And when attcked he could say "Back Evil doers! Puck the great is here to defeat you!" It could be simple Text that appears in front of the character, or actual clips from the game, just be sure not to break copyright or whatever. You could get the Elf companion like in the manga, from some bandits in a tavern being abusive to it. 7. Items from the berserk manga - such as bombs, thrown knives and crossbows that Guts uses. I can understand that this might not be possible but thought I should at least put it out there. 8. Band of the hawk - This one might be tricky. Maybe not make them a joinable faction but maybe a few NPC's here and there, with the Hawk insignia. 9. Being apart of the day of sacrifice - You should now this, the fateful day Griffith sacrificed all his friends and companions for power and his chance to get to his castle he desires so much. It could start of at a river, like in the manga, and the player gets a quest to find a man in ragges trousers who rode off in a wagon. You find him at a riverbed about to kill himself when all of a sudden a loud scream echos, coming from the necklace he would be wearing, the Crimson Behelit. The player then enters a new worldspace similar to the one in the manga, the floor made of screaming faces, darkness surrounding the area and a Giant hand sticking out of the ground a long way away, with Griffith ontop. The whole scene plays out exactly like the manga, this could also attribute to the sacrifice brand as this is the place to get it, and the player has to survive wave after wave of demons and apostles. It will end when everyone else dies except for the player, Griffith who is now a demon, a random swordswoman and swordsman still fighting. Then the player is stunned for the rest of the scene as demons start to slowly make their way to him/her. The rest of the scene with Guts, Casca and Griffith happen off screen as the player can't see them. It then fades out as the player blacks out and all they hear is a large shattering sound and galloping hooves as it fades to the loading screen. The next scene would then be the player waking up near the lake alive and a note next to them left by their rescuer, the skull knight, and why he had to leave the player there. Now that would be extremmely cool if someone could do this :D 10. Armour from the Band of the hawk - I'm surprised no one has done this yet, not in Oblivion either. Players can forge or buy Griffith's armour, Casca's armour, Jadeu's armour, Pippin's armour etc etc. 11. Party members - Similar to those in Berserk you can get a mage with another Elf companion (but pink, and has funny dialouge if the player has their own one), a light armoured swordsman, a rogue and a sword and shield woman. They can be similar to Isidro, Farnese, Serpico and Schierke but they will be different in that their names will be different and they are all relatively the same age, they vould have the same enchanted weapons though like wind damage sword and fire damage dagger etc. They could act as every other companion does, as a extra fighting hand and pack mule. Or they can have side quests, like the mage character trying to find out what happened to her master, the rouge looking to learn from the player, the sword and shield woman looking for a purpose and the swordsman just looking out for his step-sister. I didn't put Casca down as she really wouldn't be a good companion character due to her mental status at this point. Maybe someone could do a character that has a sacrifice brand, so the player has a kinship with them, and is a fighter or something. 12. New locations - Like the burnt tree house that belonged to Flora, with a burnt body inside to show she is dead. Or the fort that had that mental religious Mozgus at the end, which you could fight when you get to the end of the dungeon maybe? Or the village that was infested with zombies and ghosts, pr the one that had loads of goblins attack it, with the water frog thing and the ogre. 13. References to the Dreamcast game - If you know what I'm talking about good :D If not get a Dreamcast and get Berserk: Guts' Rage it is pure awesome, plus it is the only one Japan bothered to get translated and sent abroad....Anyway maybe put a village with possessed villiagers or something, with a deformed kid at the end to fight. And that is all I can think of at this point. I might add more when I think of them but I thi nk this is a decent enough number for now. Hoepfully someone out there can make this happen :D Maybe not all but at least some of them could happen and can be made and put into the game...that would make me one happy person and I will have to give them a pat on the back, and hearty handshake and 10 internet cakes :D thank you XD

blindness
I found the Berserker armor! http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11784 Is this what you were looking for?
Majorshepard
nah thats the other mod that already exists. Its the Black swordsman armour. I'll actually link the mods that already exist that aren't in my list: Black Swordsman armour - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11784Golden Age arc Greatsword - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3745The Dragonslayer sword - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3143Guts' knife he used during the eclipse - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3804 There you go. There is another mod that changes Galmar into an Orc, to be Zodd in human form, and Ulfric into a Apostle but like I said I don't think replacing characters is the way to go, it also adds Caska but its not really...my thing (Trying to put it as nice as I can repsect someone that at least gave a mod a try). Hope this helps clear up some confusion.
