oliverouge Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Hello i am trying to uninstall Oblivion to free up disc space and it tells me i dont have the uninstaller on and to run setup again this message pops up can someone help me figure this out please
beldaran1224 Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 You ran the setup from the disc and this popped up? Or when trying to uninstalled from your list of programs? You need to put in the disc and run it as if you were going to install the game.
Surilindur Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 That looks like some sort of securom disc copy protection error based on the link in the popup in the image. Did you also install the game from that disc using Windows 8.1?
oliverouge Posted April 20, 2018 Author Posted April 20, 2018 i ran it via my disc and set it up but i dont know how it happened(sorry i was away for so long i got busy)
Surilindur Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 I just asked it, because Securom is a disc copy protection system, and the message makes it sound like as if the copy protection system somehow would have failed to work. But since you installed it in the same environment, and it worked back then, I have no idea.
TheMastersSon Posted May 12, 2018 Posted May 12, 2018 (edited) Sounds like Oblivion is half uninstalled. It can easily happen if files and folders are manually deleted. Do you get this error message when you try to reinstall? Edited May 12, 2018 by TheMastersSon
Oblivionaddicted Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Did you try to remove the registry key and to uninstall through CCleaner?
