RastamanVibe
Hello guys I'm not new to modding but I have a problem that I can't solve.I followed the step indicated in the Ultimate Modding Guide to get a brand new Skyrim after years of not playing to a modded Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim.Steps I followed :https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76373/ Guide for graphics https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/77928 Guide for gameplay and stuff I tried my best to get every single steps perfectly cleared and I tweaked some of .ini to match with my computer. I guess I did something wrong because I get this message after crashes. Crashes happen after 5 mins of gameplay (didnt happen in interiors). I have a great config, NVidia 1070. Game is perfectly smooth, 60fps. " Skyrim has failed to allocate memory! Possibly running out of memory. Size / alignment of object being allocated was 11184960 / 0. Some things you can try:1. Make sure ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true is set in enblocal.ini - if you don't have ENB then install ENBoost and enable this option.2. Try set AlignHeapAllocate=0 in CrashFixPlugin.ini - if you get additional crashes then put back to 1.3. If it's during ShowRaceMenu then close the menu from time to time to free memory.4. Enable CustomMemoryBlock in CrashFixPlugin.ini to reduce memory fragmentation.5. If it's during ShowRaceMenu then disable UseOSAllocators=1 and re-enable after character creation is completed. " So I tried to change things and stuffs, but nothing really worked. I changed things in many .ini files and went backwards not to mess things up but obviously, I did. I tried ENB and I'm new to it, I used https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75346 Natural Ligtning Vivid Atmosphere and I think this didnt go well at all. I didn't manage to set my enblocal.ini correctly so after hours of searching (I enjoy trying to fix things) I finally decided to stop using enb, I was sure it was the root of all evil. So I uninstalled it, and tryied another mod for Weather and Lightning; CoT. After removing enb files and all, I tried to play, and ofc, game crashed. I hope I'm clear enough, apologize my non perfect english from France  !Thank you for having read until there, I hope someone can help me, or at least explain some of this. Pippboss
yea I seen this with crashfixes running when I tried to run Skyrim without any (modded) memory management of any kind to see what it would do. SO to fix it you need to either use crashfixes memory management or assign a memory blocks allocation via skse.ini whichever method you are using. Test either or both and try UseOSAllocators=0 or 1 in your crashfixplugin.iniAs for not using an ENB its actually needed to allow either memory management method to work.Delete any traces of an ENB via your mod manager if need be. You will find them in steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim. Just delete them then follow instructions to the letter on installing an ENB. Binaries 1st then an ENB pre set. Follow the pre set mod author's recommendations. If you have a method of monitoring ram and vram usage do so. UseOsAllocators = 0 To run Skyrim you will have to use SKSE memory heap allocation and an ENB/enboostUseOsAllocators = 1 You don't need too use SKSE memory heap allocation. Wont hurt anything if you still have memory blocks active in your SKSE.ini.This explains it better than I could. Hope I helped and I didn't confuse you too much Blighty and gibberish are the only two lingo's this gringo speaks. I'm quite sure your gibberish is better than my French ya? RastamanVibe
Hello mate, thank you for your answer, feels good to see someone who knows what I'm talking about !Can you type the lines I'm supposed to edit in skse.ini ? I changed something about Custom Memory Blocks but I can't remember. I think I should re-install Skyrim from the beggining and follow other instructions because I messed something up really hard, or forgot an essential thing...I tried the UseOsAllocators=0 or 1 but I don't think it had great effect... Sometimes its so complicated to try to fix a particular CTD ^^ ! I follow your advise and try again, get a proper and new ENB, I'm sure everything began to crash when I installed ENB the wrong way. But maybe I can go without ENB ?Do you think I have too many mods ? My computer is powerfull and I trust it hehe, but maybe I got too greedy ;) ... Thank you for the video guide, this indeed can help me a lot I think ! Yes you did help me, and I understood every single gibber out of your mouth bro :D !!!Have a nice day Pippboss :)
