Consistent crashing just started halfway through playthrough

I had been having a well-performing playthrough (completed Dragon rising, some Thieves guild, general dungeons) with almost no problems whatsoever. However, after completing the red eagle quest and leaving rebel's cairn I have been experiencing many CTDs in short spans of time (usually within 5 mins of loading the game) for no apparent reason (some occuring on loading screens, others during playtime)

I have got no idea what is causing these crashes and have already tried some methods: (turning off touch keyboard) and (turning off SSE fixes and high quality world map).
I run the game in SKSE and like i have said have experienced no problems prior to this.

Hi

First find out if the CTDs are in your save or in your game. Create a new character & see if you get CTDs.

Saves as they get older need more resources. Surprisingly NPCs use up a lot of resource & it takes just one too many in a cell to cause a CTD. Having 6 or more gbs vram & 16 gbs ram helps.

Some of the perks in Ordinator conflict with other mods. The conflicts don't show up until you select the perk. It is easy to spot in the papyrus log & removing the perk fixes it. It is the only reason I do the Dragon Born DLC.

Skyrim Immersive Creatures has a few monsters that conflict. You can switch them off in the MCM.

Spawning mods like Immersive Patrols II can make a cell a no go area for up to 3 in game days. All you can do is go an other way.

Your load list is a mine field of possible CTDs. So is mine. At least once a month I trash either Skyrim SE or Fallout 4. Fixing them is part of the game.

overworld/exterior ctds is usually from a corrupt/missing texture, least in my experiences. I would start off there.

If you got MO2 select the "contains textures" category and then disable all textures. start up your sse, if it doesn't crash, then it's definitely due to textures. re enable a set of 50, and fire up sse, see if it crashes, keep doing that until you can pinpoint which set crashed, then enable that set of 50 by 10, keep doing that until you crash, eventually you'll find your culprit.

afterwards its up to you what you do with it, you may either try and fix it via extracting or removing the necessary textures and nif optimizing it, or simply remove it altogether.

I see a lot of patches in your load order and they have been placed in the middle of it; if I am not mistaken, patches must be placed at the bottom of your load order and I agree with jones177, those two mods about creatures and immersive patrols, may be the reason of your CTD's. Personally, I tried them both before and I was getting CTD's. Not in my list anymore. Icepenguinwoldmap must be placed up in your load order as well. Your load order does not looks right. You also have two mods related to cloaks and when you have two mods doing the same thing, there will be a conflict for sure. I recommend to keep only one.

Would not be a bad idea if you clean the game cache in Steam ( right click on the game, go to Properties, Local Files and clean cache ); after that, clean your master files via SSEEdit and do not forget to clean Dawnguard twice and on the second time that you do it, you have to manually remove some records. This procedure is available in Steam and I suggest that you bookmark it so you may need it in the future.

LOOT is a good tool, but you have to manually place some mods where they are supposed to be by following the mod author's recommendation. Google what is the correct load order for Skyrim and place your mods accordingly.

Sometimes it isn't necessary to move a patch to the bottom for two reasons.

1. It depends what master the patch has and if it has let say Mod A and Mod B will cause a minor conflict with Mod A then a patch for Mod B and in this example Mod C, the patch, needs to be like this.

Mod A

Mod B

Mod C

2. Another thing that's important to know about is where in a loadorder a mod is loaded also decide where a mod patch needs to be, which could be almost anywhere in a loadorder.

To sum it up; Always read the readme for a mod, especially the Known Issues section, and reading the readme can save you some time.

Immersive Patrols and Immersive Creatures are problematic? I was using them both in Oldrim for a long time without problems. Is this something that started happening with SSE? I have them both installed right now. My game just started crashing with some regularity, but that's after a week with over 200 active plugins. I'd hate to lose Immersive Patrols. Skyrim seems empty without it. I was thinking about putting Warzones in.
