Switching from NMM to Vortex....

Would it be better to just delete all my mods and uninstall NMM then re-install my mods after dowloading Vortex? (i dont have a lot of mods as i juist started messing around trying to figure things out on this new PC so im not worried about having to re-install them). There's probably various eways to handle this that ican be seen through youtube or other sources but because those sources seem to have a lot of contradictions between themselves i'd like to here your (yea you) thoughts and ideas on the matter.

Also for future reference if I continue to use NMM untill Vortex is complete (or more complete) if I didn't want to delete 200 plus mods, and re download them into vortex would i just go into the folder on my SSD that hold all my mods and send those applications to the Vortex file folder?

Also I think I'm going to continue using NMM for this next Witcher 3 playthru (just got it for PC. I beat it 4 times on Ps4 and want to get some really good captures with a free cam mod on the PC version) so I'm wondering if I might keep NMM for Witcher 3 or other games where i'd only be using 10 mods or less. Cuz I can wait awhile for Vortex to be complete as I almost burned myself out on Skyrim Se on Xbox while using Trial and Error, constant hard resets, load times, and crashes then more hard resets and load times on the path towards the optimal Load Order

Sort of an Unrelated rant.. (feel free to ignore)

(I finally arrived at after 3 or 4 months of testing sessions. Basically not playing the game so much as testing it which kinda made me question whetehr or not building a PC so I could expand my moding options would would be worth it. Does anyone else feel like they spend more time testing things out then actually playing the game?) Does anyone think Bethesda might Actually do such a great job with TES 6, so much so that we might not need as many immersion mods (imersvie citizens just to name one out of 20 or 30) or gameplay overhauls (smilodon, Dodge mods, etc). I couldn't play Skyrim at all until I had mods.

When I look at FO3 which I played for a few hours, and then seeing how much the FPS gameplay improved from Fo3 to Fo4 and how FO3 mods and Skyrim Mods might of influenced Fo4s development (they included a survival mode, despite it being unimmersive and tedious unlike something akin to iNEEDs and added what I think has great potential in both Skyrim nand Fallout games, the settlement/base building feature if they can manage follow through on a more optimal implementation.) it makes me wonder if , this time, the Vanilla game will be much closer to the ideal experience then it has been in the past, thus perhaps not needing as many mods to create the ideal immserive, open world sandbox action RPG with emergent gameplay and radiant A.I. - Speaking of A.I. I wonder how much more that will have advanced by the time FO5, Tes 6 or even their two mystery IPs come out.

I did not import my Skyrim game from NMM because I wanted to test Vortex by downloading/installing/enabling mods directly rather than importing them from NMM. Since then, I have been learning Vortex and so far so good. I also have Fallout 4 still in NMM and I will not export it to Vortex till I learn more about this new tool and feel ready to deal with Fallout 4 in Vortex.

You do not have to uninstall NMM. Just deactivate / uninstall all of your mods, delete your game from your PC and reinstall everything again in Vortex.
