No Follower Mods Work At All

I've been having a consistent issue come up with no fix for it at all that I have found. I can't run any follower mods at all or they break the game. As in CTD every 5 minutes or if i try to even get near the added follower. I've tried 6 different followers and the same issues arise, I can't seem to figure out what causes it. I'd like to have a couple followers but I can't even get the mods working let alone try to have them around. Can somebody please help me out here? I'll leave my load order attached (minus any follower mods) and maybe someone can find something. I have all DLC so that shouldn't be an issue. Mods I've tried to use are Recorder, Ciri (Witcher 3), Geralt of Rivia, Moniko, Neisa, and Ahri Lunafox.

Well, it's not like it changes much either way haha. i wouldn't be able to extract a lot of valuable knowledge from thouroughly reading through your load order due to inexperience.

 

Here are a few ideas that come to mind.

 

Assumption 1: Maybe there's a part of their specific models that conflict with something. I.e their face texture/hair texture or whatever is conflicting with something. But seeing as you've tried this with six different followers already, that seems kinda unlikely. Let's say there was a problem with a vanilla texture that is also used by vanilla NPCs, you would've run into this problem before trying to install followers.

 

Assumption 2: If this problem only appears when enlisting modded followers, i feel like it is relatively safe to say that there is a high chance that your game is having some internal script or code conflict (i'm not too big on PCs, but what I'm trying to say is, whatever system that allows for custom followers to function may very well be corrupted or "destroyed", so to speak. Maybe the installation of multiple incompatible follower overhauls/mods is the problem.)

First, all follower mods I know of is working as intended, so it must be something else and that could be another mod that is causing a CTD.

 

Also, those follower mods you're using does not break your game.

Personally, I use the Amazing Follower Tweaks (AFT) mod, which works great with most follower mods e.g Vilja, Inigo just to mention a few.

I know the follower mods themselves shouldn't break anything the game breaks when I have them active, if that makes more sense. While this proabably won't fix it, uninstall the individual patches (Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp, Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp, Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp, Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp) and install Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71214 . Since you have all of the game DLC's and it is more up to date than the individuals ones.

Also, Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul.esp may be conflicting with one of your other mods affecting NPC's.

These two Serana plugin. What does they do and what does the DNP and the UD_ stands for?

Are they part of the same mod or are they from two separate mods?

If it's what I think it is then I need to ask does that mod install loose scripts? If it does that then remove it, because it's gonna to cancel the bugfixes in USLEEP since those bugfixes is in a BSA and a loose file will always win.

Also, are you sure you have installed everything that OSA requires to work properly?

I agree with Kroekr, that's a good advice to uninstall all those USKP mods and install USLEEP, but remember don't expect the USKP team to offer support since USLEEP has soon reached its last version and won't get any more updates.

SeranaDNP is a visual replacer, DNP stands for Dark Night Princess. UD_Serana.esp is the mod Queen of the Damned - Deadlier Serana, which makes Serana more powerful. Neither affects any other NPCs or followers as far as I know.

 

Dragon Soul Relinquishment lets you trade dragon souls for passive improvements like shout power, carry weight, attribute buffs, etc. I don't think it uses any loose scripts, at least to the best of my knowledge.

 

And I do have everything needed to run OSA so that has never been a problem. I'll try installing USLEEP again because last time I did I didn't uninstall the DLC patches so that explains why it didn't work when I first tried.

OK USLEEP seems to have done something positive at least. Further testing is required but it didn't crash when I walked into the winking skeever to recruit Ciri so we'll see how it goes from there. Thank you guys for the help so far.

Well Geralt of Rivia and Ciri work but I seem to continuously get crashes around Whiterun, anyone have any ideas for that? I don't know what could cause a conflict there.
