BentharModds
My game keeps constantly crashing, usually every few minutes, or as soon as I enter a loading screen other than the initial loading screen. The longest it's gone without crashing is about 15 minutes, does anybody know the cause? Could it be mod compatibility? I use LOOT and it says theres no errors. OroMizu
Random crashes are almost always due to memory issues. You may have to uncheck your most demanding mods, sadly.
varkonasnorse
It is a curiosity, though. I have LE running on a Win7 desktop machine and it runs flawlessly with no crashes at all. I only have a bout 60 mods, and all the updates and patches. On the other hand, I have the exact same game setup on a Win10 laptop, and the thing crashes like clockwork every 1 to 2 minutes of gameplay. I have it set to run in Win7 compatibility mode, but to no avail. I have tried everything I can think of to prevent the crashing, but it persists. A friend of mine has the same issue with his laptop. I just don't think Skyrim and Windows 10 get along very well. Edited March 3, 2018 by varkonasnorse

I can play up to 5 hours with no crash on a +150-plugins mod combination.

Pippboss
I'm starting to think that 8gb of RAM is no longer enough for modded Skyrim LE. Especially when using crashfixes memory management. I just recently upgraded my PC gave it a RAM upgrade went from 8 GB to 16 GB. Since then I've have about 4 crashes two of which where yesterday in thieves guild cistern with Karlia confrontation scene. Found an orphaned script in my save file and on I went. Before I added the 8gb of RAM I would crash constantly and yea its been like that for years. If only I'd known.. Mods are becoming more sophisticated and texture mods are adding more detail all the while a lot of peoples PC's have not changed in years. The cumulative effect is lowered performance of the game and increased RAM/VRAM usage. Crashfixes will let the OS manage memory and it does a great job, just make sure you have enough actual RAM in your system. Crashfixes and increased RAM have all but illuminated my crashes I can play for hours to point I have to stop go do something constructive.
