Akatosh727
Just recently i made a mod to make the adoring fan a bit useful. So i saved it, closed the cs and tried to upload it onto tesnexus. The file had dissapeared from my Data folder! Its gone! Anybody else have this problem or know how to fix it? I will kiss you if you tell me how to fix this. jaysus
easiest way to check where it should be: open the cs and save a new mod - then look exactly where it goes... otheriwse no clue lol sounds strange...

To create a new ESP you open CS without making anything "active", so, when saving you'll be prompted to give the name of it. If you are sure saved it with the desired name, so this save failed without your notice. Edit: Sorry, just now I realized the part about uploading to tesnexus. I can't help anymore since I don't have a clue about what could got wrong. The site doesn't touch your machine, the upload is a online copy, not a move. Anyway, what you are doing isn't the way to go. better you creating a folder to your mod, copy there the ESP (I assume you don't touch anything else like textures etc). After create a README file explaining the purpose of the mod, the install and uninstall procedures... better using a template in so doing. Now pack everything with 7z or rar (prefer the first)... and this 7z is the one you upload. Edit 2: So to easy install make sure you compact (7z) only the files (and subfolders where applies), not the mod folder itself. Edit 3: If certain mod have subfolders using OBMM to create an omod or at least the OBMM aware version is highly recommended.

How about a kudos point instead? :P I have a question for you: Do you believe you may have accidentally deleted the file somehow? If so, if no changes have been made to the drive yet, the next time this happens, there is a chance you could recover a deleted file. One program you could try is Iolo Technologies Search and Recover
Avatier
I've had this issue countless times. It made my modified races completely disappear. If you're running Vista like I am, you'll need to turn off the UAC and remake the mod. I've lost well over 12 hours of work on my Gensokyo races due to this. Varus Torvyn
How do i turn off the UAC? I don't use Vista because of the "UAC hairballs". Long live XP! However, I found this which could be very helpful to you: Disable Vista UAC
