Xenobuzz
Hey, all! Since I got my new game started on my new PC a few months ago I was having a HARD time. I've added quite a few mods that have substantially increased the difficulty. I'm a sniper. I like to sneak and snipe from a good ways away. So the first items I look to collect are the Chinese Stealth Suit, Shady Hat and the Dart Gun schematic. NOT an easy task in this newer, much more monster-filled landscape. Last night I was slowly making my way towards the power station with the schematic, but when I arrived a Scavenger was attacked by a Deathclaw Young. I attempted to aid him, but somehow in the melee I hit him with a shotgun blast. After the DC young went down, he started blasting me. Not wanting to kill him and lose karma, I hit reload. However, I hadn't realized how much ground I'd covered since my last save. After realizing how much backtracking I'd have to do, I decided to call it a night. This afternoon, I made my way back (after a few reloads) and as I was approaching I heard the telltale sounds of a crash! I looked up and saw the trail of smoke leading down to the rocky outcropping just above the power station. I got EXCITED. As I walked up the fence, I spied a Power Cell!! WOOT!! I looked around and there she lay, hovering above the ground like a holy object. I snapped her up, grabbed the Dart Gun schematic and then went hunting for more power cells. As it turns out, they had been spread in a WIDE radius to the east of the power station. I had to scour multiple levels around the ridge to find them all. How many are you supposed to find? I think I found 10, but I'm not sure. Dave Edited April 13, 2012 by Xenobuzz
blove
Twenty-four. But, I have never found that many. They bounce everywhere and will find any crack to fall through.

Wow, that would be a bounty indeed! I've managed to find 15, and I think that's all I'm going to get. However, it would be interesting to return here with Dogmeat later on, or would any unclaimed cells disappear by then? Dave
blove
They actually might still be there. The script uses PlaceAtMe to drop them from on high. I did not notice any cleanup though.
Crystalking52
If you find it very difficult to find all of the ammo then you might in the future like to try the tiny mod I made for this called the Firelance Corpse, which drops a corpse containing all of the Firelance event items (So that way the ammo won't scatter everywhere.) M48A5
Since the ammo for the firelance glows in the dark, try going back to the location at night. You will have to expand your search to cover a wide area also. I followed DogMeat one time and was really surprised how far the canisters were scattered. I searched the area further yesterday, and found two that I'd missed, bringing the total found up to 18, but then a dust storm kicked up! Not that I'm complaining, I'm actually liking the challenge. I'll load 'er up tomorrow and wait 'till night fall and see what happens. If I'm correct in my trajectory assessment, then the few remaining cannisters should be lying further East down the hill from the Power station. I'll have to deal with a few Mirelurks before I can search the grounds unassaulted. Dave
