onson Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 After slaying a dragon, the body transforms to a skeleton. I am trying to find this skeleton model in the Construction Set. Does anyone know where this is located? I would like to pose the skeleton in the same manner as you would human skeletons in game.
David Brasher Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 That is not exactly how it works I don't believe. It looks to me like the dragons have one-way non-reversible death animations in which their flesh burns up and only the skeleton is left. I don't think the game is swapping out models. There is however one dragon that starts out as a reanimated skeleton. The actor dunLabyrinthianUndeadDragon. You could make a dead version of this creature and see if it could be posed.
jsnider193 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Might look at undeskin.nif in actors\dragon\character assets, may not be what after but it is a skeleton of a dragon ... if need more info ask.
Outlandstalker Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Simple browse to "Actors" > "Actor" > "Actor" > "UndeadDragonRace".

Thats pretty much what I was looking for, I was just looking past it somehow. So I can drag this to a cell, check "starts dead", and I have a dragon skeleton. Do you guys know how to pose the model after?I know you can click havok sim in the CS and the body will go limp, then checking the "dont havok settle" box will keep it from moving, but how do you fine tune the postion of head, wings etc? I remember doing it in the Oblivion CS.
David Brasher Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I have not tested this in Skyrim yet. In Oblivion, you would turn on the havok simulation and hold down CTRL + ALT while moving individual bones of the skeleton.
onson Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Well I guess its different in Skyrim , I cant seem to figure out how to precisely pose the skeleton.
