Gamerbird
Hey all! Some of you may remember me from some good few years back when I used to be an active member on this community.I was working with a few guys/gals here on making my first game. Well it didn't work out to well and with my life getting on top of me, the project died. However leap forward all these years and I have actually finally done what I set out to achieve all those years ago. I have released my two first games out on the Android store! My first one was Defence Force: Crash Course. It took me a while with this one, learning as I went along the way but it turned out to be pretty impressive for me personally. Holding either left or right on your screen to move in the respective direction to maneuver and dodge the incoming ships for as long as you can. That's not your only threat! Your ship is crashing! It's prone to malfunction in one of three ways, look out for the red warning and prepare to react quickly to keep building your score! However my biggest achievement to date. definitely has to be Colour Clash! This one proved to be a challenge as I struggled to come up with a Graphic set I thought worked well with the overall premise of what I was trying to achieve. Originally I wished to give it a more 3D style, however it didn't work quite as I wanted it to. Colour Clash is a game of colour matching that's both free but challenging to play. By rotating the Circle in the centre of the screen, you must match the colours with the incoming balls. The more you match, the harder it gets! Current features include: - Post high score to Twitter- Increase your speed of rotation- Change background in the Shop Menu- Purchase the challenging Colour Swap mode! (with gained in game currency)- Mute in-game music A fun, free game for an on the go Puzzle Challenge! By using in-game currency (NO MICROTRANSACTIONS!) you can unlock the super challenging Colour Swap mode! This mode swaps the colours at the beginning of the game, making it even harder to match the colours as you're going along! I'd love if any of you could give them a go and let me know what you think! I'm always looking to improve on my ideas and add new updates whilst working on new projects! Click the links in my bio to download! :) Thanks for reading guys! <
montky
sweet!they look like fun. they look like some sidescrollers' I'd play in-game in another game, like say the Arcade Settlement in Fallout 4 etc.it's like retro8bit stuff, like at 8bitguy or ThisWeekInTech/retrogames etc.the audio-design is fun stuff. there is something to be said for the minimalism aesthetic, and that nostalgia is real. For Color Clash - if you did an E8 structure/ Leibniz-gasket n'th dimensional variant based on glomes etc, that'd actually be a great introductory tool to show folks about higher dimensionsyou could then introduce stuff like Jaroslav Kurzweil, Grigori Perleman etc,and their approaches to topology...it'd be interesting to see that. as there's already like a tetris/rubiks-cube kinda thing going on,I want to see what folks at Gardiner Game Expo would think about it. that color matching also reminds me ofMandelbrot/Fractal Explore Zooms, so, that'd be interesting tokey the animations to the state of the puzzle-solution,the 2D-3D decal applique animation etc.

montky
Shift was good fun,I'll chat via NMM PrivateMessage further on that one.Slimeclimb was not as fun for me personally. I did see some similarities between it and Color Clash though.
