[WIP] Dwemer Colosseum

Hello everyone! :thumbsup:

Do you like waffles? How about blood-spilling action embedded in intense fights while the crowd encourages you to participate? I personally like both :thumbsup:, which is exactly why I am creating the Dwemer Colosseum.

This mod adds two teams, the blue team, and the yellow team. You will have the option at some point in the story to join either side.

Each side will be represented by a noble for each game. Nobles serve no purpose in the Gladiator fights, but there are Criminal fights, in which the winner of the fight may still be killed. The choice is up to the noble, and even the way in which their fighter dies. "Nobles" basically are VIP's in each match, as they get their own special booth...

Game Types - Description

Criminal Match - Strictly to-the-death. The last team standing will live or die depending on the decision of that team's noble. These fighters are restricted to wearing certain armors unlike gladiators.

Gladiator Match - 1 VS 1 fighting. The winner is determined by either the last man standing.

Team Gladiator Match - X VS X fighting. The winner is determined by the last team standing.
Gladiator Match - 1 VS 1 fighting. The winner is determined by either the last man standing.

Mage in the Cage - This is strictly a magical 1 VS 1 brawl. Each competitor is given a pair of gloves that will send their opponents flying with each strike. The stage in the center will raise and a magical barrier will surround the stage. 1 side will randomly be disabled for (X to Y) seconds. If you knock your opponent off (or out) you win.

Free For All - 1v1v1v1.Each team (yellow and blue) have a secondary team. So there is an introduction of two new temporary teams for this game match. The game's rules are simple, it's every man for himself (or woman for herself :wink: ) and the stakes are higher for every bet placed.

Custom Match - Sorry, no gold to be earned here. This one is easy to use with a ton of options for setting up a fight you want to be in. Your companion should have no problem joining you here! Just use the control console to spawn your enemies! Note: to avoid save game bloating, bodies disappear after a set amount of seconds. Sorry if that displeases you, but it's for your own good :P

Also, will this follow the rough lines of oblivion arena fights? (As in, gates drop, hack-slash untill end.) Or will it have some more reputational elements to it?

- the way you kill has an influence on the crowd, which makes them eith er like or hate you.

- Show mercy at the end of a match to forfeit the gold reward and gain more rep

- Too low rep = uneven matches or being set up: 1 on 1 fight, unarmed and suddenly two more people jump in from the crowd, armed to the teeth trying to kill you.

 

Stuff like that would really keep arena fights interesting :D

Anyway, i'll also settle for a simple arena where one could simply fight and earn gold :P

I have ideas close to your suggestions planned :)

 

It shares the concept of oblivion arena fighting but branches off to become it's own unique design. so you can expect the gates to drop and see the fighters go at it. I encourage lore friendly mods, and like to add realistic elements, so that should give you an idea of my view point as to what the arena should have as well as how it should function.

I'm looking for more voice actors to fill other roles.

 

Post up some samples, and what kinda of character you think you'd be good at. You might just get a part ;D

 

I need people to be pit bosses. Someone who guides you, in a negative or positive towards becoming grand champion... and so much more.

Looks beautiful Korodic I'm excited to see what you have in store for this mod and i am excited to get my hand's on it when it is done.
