jerry5150
this is why i wish i could mod. cuz no modder ever wants to help you if they don't approve with the idea.
ghosu
...it is not possible yet, at least in no real way because you need a 2nd WORKING sheath with animations...as well as new animations for the first axe that fits with the new position. Same with dual sheaths...there are 'bout 50 request threads and still no working mod - because no one managed to do it yet.
MLeonhardt
I think a possible compromise, at least until the full version becomes possible, would be to change the sheathed model of a single axe to two axes, that way it just looks like you have both of them sheathed, but still uses the same draw animation for the weapon.Simply make another variant of each axe weapon. I.e. Ebony War Axe (Dual)The Ebony War Axe (dual) has the double axe sheathed model with two Ebony War Axes. Then, you equip a regular Ebony War Axe in your other hand and boom. Dual sheath. jerry5150
it's a mod out that has the option for a one handed dagger. it's not crossed tho. but if you say it cant be done i'd have to take ur word for it. i dont know anything about mod's or how their made. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12852 Edited April 18, 2012 by jerry5150
ghosu
And then people would cry why you still see a sheathed axe when you equip them dual (since one model is a sheath replacer) and 'bout the missing animations...i know my customers, most people want the full thing and no fakes :D What would be doable (and i'm working on something similar for dual sword sheaths): Axe model, the normal version comes with a static axe instead of the scabbard, so even when you equip one you see both on you. When you equip a second axe you have two axes in hand and still one remaining on your back since it is the scabbard...but it would be possible to change the axe model when you draw the axe to another model without scabbard-axe...so when sheathed you see 2 axes on back, when you draw the weapon the scabbard-axe replacer disappears and you hold 2 axes in your hands...but this needs scripting work and you get no draw animation for the 2nd axe, not finished it yet. Like this: http://666kb.com/i/c31lyj00d07iwykde.jpg This is the 1h model, even when you only equip one sword you see 2 sheaths - so there would be this special version for dual wielderThere would be a second model with a hilt in the sheath as well, when it is sheathed you see the model with hilt, when you draw it the script changes to the 2nd model without hilt to simulate a working sheath. Or add the 2nd sheath as an optional armor slot so you don't have to add it to the weapon model... No clue how he did this with his dagger mod since i never downloaded it...i could imagine he used a 2nd model as well for repositioning or whatever :D Edited April 18, 2012 by ghosu
MLeonhardt
That's essentially what I was talking about. And the people that would complain about the Ebony War Ave (Dual) having a second, unused axe would simply not have to use it.
