Reversing Daggers

Recommended Posts

1. Download FO3Archive Utility and Nifskope (version 1.1.0-rc4) - download links in my signature video tutorial.

2. Start FO3ArchiveUtility, open Skyrim-Meshes.bsa from you Skyrim\data folder, in the tool open meshes\weapons\

3. Choose the dagger you want to edit like meshes\weapons\daedric\, select 1stpersondaedricdagger.nif and daedricdagger.nif

4. Extract both files (menu) and copy them to Skyrim\data\meshes\weapons\daedric (you have to create these folders)

5. Open 1stpersondaedricdagger.nif with NifSkope, click on the dagger until the whole weapon is selected (on the right side the dagger container should be marked)

6. In the block detail window below is a line with ROTATION, change it to 180° (there are 3 boxes for rotation, afaik it's the last one)

7. Save it as 1stpersondaedricdagger.nif and the same file as daedricdagger.nif so both are the same. Done.

@ghosu

I tried that, but it ends up rotating the whole model, so that when the dagger is sheathed, it is upside down and sticking in your face :/ I am trying to work on a script that will flip the dagger when it is unsheathed, but returns to normal when sheathed, only I am horrible at scripting...

Yeah sure...nah, just asked if you are from Vienna because Wien = Vienna and Ecke = corner ;)

nope not from Vienna, from Israel, but actually kinda funny, since my dad was just in Vienna for business, and he came back and said the same thing. He is really into art and history, so he thought it was cool that we had a 'corner in Vienna' :biggrin:
